Meet The Characters! (Cheryl & Alice)

Hey guys, before I go over to Chapter 1, I want to give you a few things to know about our two main characters before you start jumping to conclusions. Here you are!

Name : Cheryl Sierra Winston

Age: Prologue - 16, Present - 19

Role: Alice and Ashton's best friend, main protagonist

Appearance: Long, wavy black-brown hair with highlights. Slightly slanted brown eyes, and pretty slim. She's planning to dye her hair but she already has some blue highlights. She's considered tall, but not as tall as Alice or Ashton. Her skin tone is tannish because she loves the beach. She always drags Alice along with her. She's grateful for everything she has and is thankful for Alice, Ashton and her family.

Personality: An active, bubbly spirit who is very friendly, very enthusiastic and very curious. She is smart but she doesn't like to show it because she prefers her wild side. It's sort of a secret-not-secret talent because she passes her exams with flying colours yet she doesn't say much about it. Though is a bit crazy, the good type, she doesn't let it go too far. She believes in karma and is a Catholic. She doesn't party, unless it's a party with her family or with her two best friends. Next to Alice and Ashton, God, food, music and sarcasm are her best friends. She sings a lot, but says she can't because of insecurity. It was a habit she inherited because her father and sister both love to sing so a day without music or singing is the day she will possibly die. From a lot of people though, they say she can sing well and is lucky she inherits it from her father's side since it runs in the family. She cries easily too. Mostly when it comes to songs, movies and even books. She's an avid reader, and her biggest pride is the giant mahogany bookshelf in her room. She a defender, and sticks up to who she thinks is right. Once something funny is going on, she'll start laughing a lot to the point where she'll laugh at things that aren't even funny or don't make sense. And she has a random mind. Example:

Teacher - The answer to number 6 is C!

Cher - *starts laughing* YOU SAID 6C!!

Everyone else - *stares*

Cher - I'M 6C AND I KNOW IT!

Flaws: When she's afraid of the truth, as much as she hates doing it, she will attempt to act dumb because she wants other people to confirm it rather than finding it out herself. She tends to speak out her mind but she knows when it's time to shut up. She's sometimes afraid of rule-breaking when it concerns her future, and when she's told to 'play it cool' she'll start acting up and making it look obvious. She starts to panic when she's around unknown males because she starts getting paranoid. Paranoia controls a part of her mind. As stated, she's friendly but she has trust issues with certain people, especially if she first meets them. She is also very indecisive and sometimes snaps when it comes down to making decisions. She also sometimes gets too smarty and shows it when she wants to make a point. This makes her look like a know-it-all and it can sometimes get overboard, leading to people disliking her more. Like most girls, she is also insecure. She is jealous of a lot of people, including Alice for her beauty. She usually has this feeling under control. Even though she doesn't realize it, she sometimes downgrades people.

Background: She was raised in a nice family, being the third child of 4 children. Her older brother, 24, and sister, 23, are role models to her and she often looks up to them. He parents are hardworking and she has a younger brother at 9. She goes to church with her family every Sunday. She still lives with her parents but is soon moving out to live in an apartment. She is of Asian descent, Malaysian to b exact, which explains her slightly, just slightly, slanted brown eyes, purely black hair, and Asian tendencies, like sometimes preferring to eat with chopsticks. She was born in Sydney and has lived there since. She has only visited Malaysia twice her whole life. Her parents named her Cheryl not after the singer, but after the famous Archie Comics character Cheryl Blossom. Her middle name was her grandmother's. Pretty amazing story of how she got her name.

Hobbies: Gaming, singing, baking, reading, jumping, being crazy, eating.

Weird Habits: She can't eat with a spoon if she doesn't have a fork. When she's nervous or bored she'll start playing with her hair and biting her lip. When she's sleeping she needs to have at least one leg bent. She's clumsy when she gets excited and when she is, she starts giggling like crazy.

Name: Alice Simmons

Age: Prologue - 16, Present - 19

Role: Cheryl and Ashton's best friend, second protagonist after Cheryl.

Appearance: She's a blonde, which explains why she has to work twice as hard to prove herself. Her blue eyes are mesmerising and they can get a little too intimidating. Her height is another thing; she's taller than most people, the only one who can beat her is Ashton and soon enough, his new friends. Cher is just a bit shorter than her. She is often told to go under the sun a bit more because of her naturally pale skin tone. Whenever Cher drags her along to the beach she covers up pretty well.

Personality: She's kinds in general, always ready to help. During times of need she's always there. She sings because it's her passion and it's honestly very good. She's won a few singing competitions around her area and a few trophies in her room. Other than that, she's intelligent and she's not afraid to show it. Usually, though, she is tied with Cheryl when it comes to these. They are equally smart but Cheryl, most of times, lets Alice get ahead of her because she honestly doesn't care and wants her best friend to get some spotlight. When you're feeling down, angry or some type of emotion, it's best not to try and hide it from her because she is empathetic. Either way, she will find out and try to console you about it. It usually works. She is also stubborn and doesn't to be told what to do because she is confident that she is capable of dealing with it herself. Like Cheryl, she uses sarcasm a lot, and it's usually very sassy. She's friendly as well, which explains the incredible number of friends she has, but none as close as Ash and Cher.

Flaws: Like Cher, she has major trust issues revolving around boys. The only time when this stops is when she's with Ash, who she trusts very much. She also underestimates people naturally, so if they fail she doesn't see the need to feel disappointed. It's more of a fear, because she doesn't like to feel disappointment.

Background: The house she is currently living in is the house she was raised in, with her mother and 12 year old sister Katherine. Her parents are divorced and her father lives in the other side of the country. She's an aethist.

Hobbies: Drawing, belly dancing.

Weird Habits: She twirls some hair at the right side of her face when she gets nervous.
