"Niall. Niall. Niall!"

"What is it that you want?"

"Dad said to go downstairs before your food gets cold."

"Greg, I swear if you touch my food before I get down there..."

"Then you better get down there, you wouldn't want me eat all the biscuits now would you?"

"You wouldn't dare."

"Try me boy." With that I got myself out of my bed. I shoved my way past my brother Greg and almost tripped on one of the steps to get food. As soon as I entered the kitchen I saw my father finishing up. He was scrambling some eggs. I grabbed a plate and began to serve myself some food. Greg chuckled as he saw me take loads of egg and bacon. I left him a piece. I sat myself down and began to eat. Greg took a seat beside and still laughed to himself. My father was drinking a cup of coffee and began to read the paper.

"Looks like Derby won another match. 3-1." I stood up on my chair and began yelling. Derby County is the best. I've loved them since I was small. If I could play for them, that would be surreal. I sat myself back down and finished my breakfast. I placed my dishes in the sink for Greg to wash since it was his turn. I flashed him my crooked teeth and went upstairs. I got to my bathroom and did my business. Then I went to go get dressed for school. I slipped on some khaki coloured jeans, put on a white long sleeve and decided to wear my grey jacket. I found my grey Adidas and put those on as well. I didn't do much with my hair because, I was going to get it cut later today. I said goodbye to Greg and my father and waited outside for my ride.

"Irish boy!" I laughed and clicked my heels together. My good friend Josh pulled up to the driveway. I opened the car door and sat in the passenger seat. I gasped when I felt an arm wrap around my neck. Then I heard laughter. It was Dan. He let me go pretty quickly, he almost gave me a panic attack.

"Watcha do that for?" I looked at him and pouted my lip. He looked really guilty, that was until I began laughing. He smacked my shoulder and Josh began driving us to school.

We stepped out of the car and stood beside the car for a bit. Josh was fixing his hair, while Dan was trying to find Mrs. Richards. He was a hopeless romantic, always trying to find the one. He never had any high expectations, he just wanted someone that wouldn't treat him like dirt. I breathed in the air, and slung my bag over my shoulder. I walked with the boys into the school. We walked down the hall and made our way to our home room. We sat near the back of the classroom, my seat was near the class pet, Herbert, the tortoise. Whenever the teacher was speaking, I would just was Herbert eat his lettuce and try and get from one place to another.

"Still wishing you were inside that tank with Herbert, Niall?", Dan asked. I nodded my head and smiled. Ms. Cornish soon walked in with shades on. She must have been crying again. She's been like this since last week. If a student asks why her eyes are red, she simply ignores the question. She removed them and let out a silent sigh. She adjusted her short black hair and made her way to the board. With the piece of chalk, she wrote the assignment for today. Everyone in the class did not bother to ask questions seeing as Ms. Cornish looked miserable. I got out my textbook and glanced at Ms. Cornish. I took out a piece of paper and began writing.

Don't lose who you are in the blur of the stars

Seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing

It's okay not to be okay

Sometimes it's hard to follow your heart

Tears don't mean your losing

Everybody's bruising

Just be true to who you are

Who you are
