Chapter 15: HANGOUT

I didn't go to class because I heard something about Albert punching around girls. He was currently called in the guidance office with Caleb's ex and Caleb.

I waited outside the guidance office and after a few long minutes, the door finally opened and Albert dashed out and stopped when he saw me.

"Will." He called, surprised to see me there and I gave him a bro hug, tapping the back of his shoulder.

"Good job." I said and he chuckled.

"Thanks." He said. "But I got suspended."

"What?" I looked at the next person to exit the office door and saw Margo's crying face and then followed by Caleb.

"Are you okay?" Caleb asked Albert and I just wanted to smack his face while Margo just walked ahead so fast.

"His locker was a mess and he got suspended and it was all because of you and you're asking if he's okay? No, he's not." I answered.

"Dude, I'm fine." Albert said and I frowned.

"You're not. You're going to miss a few days of knowledge."

Albert laughed. "Shut up. Don't make me sound like a genius, genius."

"I'm sorry. I will make sure this won't happen again." Caleb said and I watched them staring at each other.

"It's okay." Albert said making me frown. It's not okay at all. "I mean, it's not okay so, it'll be better for you to stop talking to me." Albert said and Caleb nodded his head.

Albert and Margo were suspended for three days. I was so darn proud of Albert of what he did not because he punched a girl but because he didn't agree to be bullied. Maybe Margo thought that Albert was the type to just shut up and let someone bully him but he turned out the other way around and she made a very big mistake for making the first move. I bet she won't be going to school not just for three days. Maybe the whole week. Her face will surely bruise beautifully.

"You don't have to skip class." Albert said as we walked to his car.

I didn't feel like attending school today at all and I wanted to go with Albert to celebrate his first day of suspension. Damn!

"It's fine. I hate going to school without you." I said and located his car from the lines of cars in the parking lot.

"Dude, that sounds so gay." We both chuckled.

"Yeah?"

He unlocked his car and I immediately went inside the passenger seat and he slide inside the driver's.

"I don't know how to explain this to mom." He said as he insert the key and turned the engine on.

"You just have to tell her the truth." I said. "That someone wanted you to pretend as his boyfriend because of his ex and shit happens because of a crazy ex. You are innocent. It was Caleb's fault." I said and he was thinking deep. I bet his mother will seriously scold him.

We hangout in his house, playing video games and eat whatever inside their fridge. By the afternoon, we got bored and I ended up sleeping on the couch while Albert was at the other couch also.

I woke up when I felt my phone vibrated on my side making me jump.

"Shit." I cursed and searched for my phone. Someone was calling and I checked who it was.

It was Hal and it made me remember of the note that he left in my locker. For the first time, it wasn't a quote or some inspirational message shit written, but a time and that he wanted to hangout with me tonight.

He said he was going to take me somewhere nice and he said that I would love it there.

"Yeah?" I answered and Albert stirred from his sleep and woke up.

"I'm going to wait outside your door after half an hour." He said and I glanced at my phone to check the time. It was already six-twenty in the evening.

"Okay." I said and all I heard was silence from the other line so I checked if Hal ended the call. He was still there but he wasn't saying anything.

"I'll see you then." I said and I ended the call.

"See who?" Albert asked as I stood up.

"Hal." I said and he gave me a very suspicious look. "Don't give me that look." I said and grabbed my jacket.

"What look?" Albert grinned. "What are you talking about?"

"Your ugly face." I said and he chuckled. "I'm going ahead."

"Yeah. You choose Hal over me."

I grabbed a throw pillow and threw it to him making him laugh and catch the pillow.

"You should be more worried of what you're going to tell your mom." I said and his face twisted in panic.

"Shit! What time is it?" He immediately stood up and looked for his phone.

"Six thirty." I said and he went hysterical.

"What am I going to tell my mom!? I bet the school already called her and I have no escape."

"I told you, tell her the truth." I said.

"I don't know how. Shit! I'm going to hide in my room." He said.

"Yeah. Do that because I won't be here to support you. Adios!" I said and he shooed me away as he sprint up to his room.

I took a bus on my way back home and ran to my room to take a quick shower and searched for clothes to wear. I was looking for a shirt when I realized that I never really had difficulties on searching something to wear every time I went out but I didn't understand why I need to chose something nice to wear this time. I must be insane.

I checked the time again for the third time and I still have five more minutes. I went to the mirror and checked my face.

My face was perfect and I looked so handsome. I searched for a jacket because it would be cold outside or wherever Hal would take me.

I was lacing the lace of my shoes when I heard the doorbell sounded making me smile because it made me remember that time when he first went here to get me. I checked the time and it was exactly seven in the evening. I hurried down stairs.

I threw the door open and saw Hal's smiling face.

"Hey." He greeted and I chuckled because it was his signature greeting.

"Hey." I said back and I was surprised to see a new car parked on the road and the roof was folded back showing inside the car. So fucking rich. "Where's your bike?" I asked.

"I didn't bring it with me." He said.

"Oh." I said and my gaze went back to his grinning face.

"Let's go?" He asked.

"Okay."
