People warned me to stay away from him and his family. The thing about love is that you can't choose who you fall in love with. I wished I had never fallen for his sweet words and his cute awkwardness because dating him ruined me. I was head over heels for him, dreaming of a future together when he could drop me whenever he felt like because his family demanded that of him. What his brother says goes and no one dares to defy that man. Yet here I was storming to his office building, marching up to the front desk and demanding I could see Easton Dehn. The receptionist gave me a once-over and then brushed me away. The girl wearing a lacy white top with a denim shirt thrown over it and tucked away in her white flowy skirt was not allowed to see the almighty Easton Dehn. Too bad for her I wouldn't leave until I'd see the guy who demanded of his little brother to break my heart.

"I am not leaving until I see Easton." I slammed my hands on the counter for good measure, "You let that man know Poppy is here to see him, he knows exactly who I am." I narrowed my green eyes on her, trying to look as intimidating as Easton, "If he doesn't show up here I'll ruin the perfect image of his family with some embarrassing photos I have of his little brother and that is most definitely a threat."

The brunette whose hair was tied up in a severe bun pushed her big round glasses up her small round nose and swallowed. She was most definitely threatened by me. Good, because I was actually so nervous I was sweating in my white sneakers. I had no idea what to say to Easton fucking Dehn, but I needed to unleash this anger I was feeling. He was the one who told Alex that I wasn't right for him and the little brother who never once defied Easton Dehn did as told. Alex wasn't the one who deserved to get slapped it was Easton Dehn.

"Mr. Dehn will see you in his office." The brunette pushed a visitor card toward me, gesturing to the security gates at her right, "Walk right through and take the elevator to the top floor. His assistant will walk you to his office once you get there."

I smiled at her, "Thank you."

She forced a polite smile on her face If she smiled any wider her face would crack. Taking her directions I stepped into the elevator and pushed the button to the top floor. Once the doors closed I brushed my fingers through my blonde wavy locks. Now that I was headed to his office I felt anxious. What the hell was I going to say? Did I just walk up to him and slap him and then leave? This was a bad idea yet I couldn't turn back now. I just had to face Easton Dehn and hope for the best.
