Different people offer different opinions. Having input from someone whose mind works differently than yours can help you a lot in the long run. However, it can also confuse you if you don't have a clear picture of the subject.

Contrary to popular belief, Adrian considered that Giuseppe could be of use. His former best friend turned enemy turned rival with wisps of old but definitely different friendship, was, strangely, someone he trusted.

In fact, he decided to make the annoying vampire part of his team for questioning the formidable fae, Dariuss. Tucker was the obvious choice to be the part of that team, being Adrian's long-time acquaintance and only vampire-maybe-friend-in-the-last-few-decades and could handle almost anything Dariuss dished out during the questioning. Also, the idiot had stayed in Callahan's Morrow even after Adrian tried so many times to make him go back to his place, and was unsuccessful at it because Tucker just didn't know when to give up.

There was one little problem with making a team for questioning the fae...and that was deciding who else would be the part of the team.

That was why Adrian sat at one of the couches in the joint offices, raising a glass filled with the strongest alcohol he could find when he had raided the cupboards, and nursing a beginning of a nasty headache.

A headache which origin went all the way back to an hour and a half ago when Xavier had burst into the office demanding, shouting, and throwing a temper tantrum just to be considered for a member of that team. It was something along the line 'I am the best!' or was it 'I can make him piss his pants.'? Adrian didn't care anymore; they could all shrivel up and die. His temple was pulsating and the strong drink in his glass could help only as much.

Once Xavier started shouting, others joined and the office was thrown into the chaos. It wasn't uncommon that all their strong personalities clashed. However, it seemed this time it was the matter of pride just who would end up on the team to go.

An enchantment spell for making someone grow hair on places where that shouldn't happen flew over Adrian's head as he raised the glass to his lips. It was followed by Xavier's exclamation "You crazy woman! Take this!" and a small, almost benign bolt of lightning, that made Adrian's blond strands lift to the air, flew back in an attempt to hit Lana, who rolled out of way and behind one of the couches just in the nick of time.

"Boss, do something!" was heard from another corner of the room where Jonnatan was trying to wipe off a yellowish, sticky substance dripping from his face and shirt. Was that an egg? Adrian was pretty sure he saw an egg sailing through the air just a moment before. What a hell was an egg doing there? And for that matter, why didn't that idiot turn himself intangible? Nope. Adrian didn't want to know, as long as the egg or lightning or weird enchantment spells left him alone, he wouldn't give a damn.

The drink wasn't strong enough. Definitely. Irritation reared its ugly head for the fifth time in the last two minutes because Giuseppe just sat there with that infuriating smile plastered on his face, his head propped on his right hand set on handrest and was obviously enjoying the damned chaos. Maybe he should ask...nah, it wasn't worth it –

"You have something on your mind?"

Adrian raised his eyes to the person asking the question like the guy had read his mind or something. The annoying grin sat on Giuseppe's face and his hazel eyes sparkled with unconcealed mirth.
