"No. No." Richie said, looking down. "No. This can't be happening." Richie said.
Eddie ran to Richie. He linked their pinkies together. "Do you promise, that we'll get married, and have a family?" Eddie whispered. Tears ran down his cheeks. "I promise." Richie whispered. "Do you promise, that we'll call each other almost every night?" Eddie whispered, sobbing. "I promise." Richie whispered. "Do you promise, we'll never say this cheesy ass shit when we're older?" Eddie whispered, smiling. "I promise." Richie said, sobbing and giggling. They embraced each other, and swayed like music was playing. A car horn beeped outside. "It's aunt Betty." Eddie hauled his bags over his shoulders. Richie helped, and carried one. Eddie and Richie walked downstairs, and into the kitchen.

They all looked at Eddie and Richie. "I'm moving." Eddie said. Tears welled up into Bev's eyes. She ran over to Eddie, and embraced him tightly. "I love you so much." Bev whispered sobbing, and kissed his cheek. "I love you too, Bev." Eddie whispered, tears streaming down his face.
Stan out his hand to his mouth and started crying. "I'll miss you loads. Love you, Eddie." Stan whispered. He embraced him. "Hope you have a nice bar mitzvah." Eddie whispered.
Mike walked up to Eddie. "I haven't known you for a long time, but your nice, Eddie. You really are." Mike said, and hugged Eddie. "I'll miss you." Eddie said.
Ben walked up to Eddie and hugged him. "Goodbye." Ben whispered. "Bye, Haystack." Eddie said.
Bill walked up to Eddie. Tears welled up in his eyes. "I'll miss you so much. I love you." Bill whispered. "I love you too, Bill." Eddie whispered.
"Bye. I'll miss you all." Eddie waved. He grabbed Richie's hand, and they walked outside into the driveway.

Eddie and Richie stuffed all of the bags into the back of the car. "Hey, aunt Betty." Eddie whispered. "Hey, Eddie. Must be sad, huh." Eddie nodded. He looked at Richie, and stared at his face for a while. He took in Richie's smile, his hair, his freckles, his eyes. It made Eddie light up. He hugged Richie tight, and stayed like that for a few seconds. Aunt Betty took her Polaroid out, and snapped a few pictures of them. "Richie, here's my number, so you can call us whenever you want." Aunt Betty gave Richie a piece of paper. "I'll never forget you." Eddie whispered. "Me too." Richie whispered.
"I love you." Eddie said, their arms slipping away from each other for the last time. Eddie got into the car, and Aunt Betty drove away into the distance.
"Love you too, Eds." Richie whispered, and walked back into the house.
