Chapter 16

I parked my car in the parking lot of the hospital. The thought of Paige and Harry broken up ran through my head as I walked up to the doors. Will she be okay? She has liked him for so long. Mostly as a fangirl but still. The love was there. And for her to know that harry didn't feel the same was going to crush her. I was so worried about her. The automatic doors opened up and I walked into the hospital and up to the lady at the front desk. Luckily it was the same lady so she didn't think I was a fan. I told her I was here to see Niall once again and she told me to sign in. I looked at the sign in sheet and saw Niall's parents names and Greg's name. I signed my name under theirs and put the time on it as well. I thanked the lady and took the elevator up to the third floor where Niall's room was. I walked down the familiar hallway to room 326. I saw his family and him in the room. They were all smiling and having a good time. I didn't want to interrupt. I just looked through the window for a moment. Niall looked back to his normal self. The gashes and bruises were still there. We were very lucky that he had nothing broken. I was so thankful he was going to be okay. he turned his head and saw me. He waved for me to come in the room. I smiled and turned the knob.

"Hey everyone!" I said as I stepped in the room and closed the door behind me.

"Hello Ivy. How are you?" Maura said as she got up and hugged me.

"I'm good how are you?" I asked as we pulled away from each other.

"As good as I can be with Niall here in the hospital." She said and we both looked at him. He just flashed a smile at us.

"He's a hero you know. He saved my life." I said and walked over to give him a hug. He hugged me back. I wasn't going to kiss him in front of his parents but he pulled me to him and kissed me before I could protest. I sat on the edge of his bed and put my bag in the corner of the room. We all sat around talking until it got to be about 10pm and visiting hours for the hospital were closed. Niall's parents and Greg left the hospital and I gave Niall his jumper and showed his the DVD I took from his house.

"Finding Nemo huh?" he asked. I smiled.

"Its one of my favorites so I thought we could watch it tonight." I looked back at him. He was shaking his head.

"Fine, but I'm not crying this time!" he said.

"We will see about that." I said and got up to put the DVD in the player. I grabbed the remote and sat in the chair next to his bed. I started the movie and took his hand in mine. The nurse came in and told Niall that he had to take some medicine. He agreed and swallowed some pain killers before the nurse checked some monitors and wrote some stuff down on the clipboard. She said she would check on him in the morning and then left and closed he door behind her. I went to the window and shut the curtains.

"What are you doing?" Niall asked me.

"I'm changing with out having all of the nurses look at me if you don't mind." He chuckled and I reached into my bag and changed into a pair of sweatpants I stole from Niall a few years ago.

"Are those mine?" He asked looking at me. I smiled.

"Maybe." He shook his head.

"It's okay they look good on you." I stuck my tongue out at him

He laughed. I took out his jumper and handed it to him. He put it over the hospital robe he had on. The air conditioner was on in the room so it was pretty cold in there. I plugged my phone into the charger and sat back down in the chair and continued to watch the movie.

"Come sleep up here with me. There's enough room." Niall said. I wanted to but I was afraid of hurting him with all the needles and things in his arms and his bruises. I didn't want to hurt him so I lied.
