Chapter #4: Finders Creepers

It was late at night and we were all sleeping, I overheard Dawn say "What's that little one? evil is lurking? Let me guess, Chris" The horn Chris always used just went off, I groaned and I quickly got up, I quickly put on some clothes and we all ran outside screaming. Chris just laughed at us. "Thanks intern!" Chris said. "HUH!?"Dakota said, she was probably deaf. "Uh hey Dakota" Sam said. "What?!" Dakota said "speak up!" she said. Then Chris pushed her away with the board he was using to demonstrate the challenge. "Challenge time!" Chris said. "What? now? in the middle of the night? when it's you know ?dark?" Brick said. Brick is afraid of the dark apparently, I looked over at Jo, who looked insanely mad. "Your challenge, is a scavenger hunt for 3 creepy souvenirs. Locations? A haunted forest, a scarrry pet cemetery, and an extra spook-tastic cave" Chris said "each location gets a special clue, and the first team to get to each location gets the clue, but watch out for booby traps, i really went to town for this one"  Chris said and he laughed "So move fast and stick together! you'll be penalized for each player that you lose. "Um what does spider represent?" Cameron said. "Oh yeah... some kind of gigantic mutant spider sort of running around loose on the island" Chris said. My eyes widened

//did I mention I hate spiders too?//

We were all just talking about the loose spider. "Spiders..." I shivered. "Scared of spiders too?" Scott said. "My family and I went to Brazil for a week and a spider bit my leg" I said "the reason why I'm scared of rats is wayy worse though" I shrugged. "WHAT'S ON THE LOOSE?" Dakota said. "A GIANT MUTATED SPIDER" Sam yelled in Dakota's ear. "W-where" Cameron said repeatedly, basically shivering. "There is nothing to fear but mortal terror itself! Now go!" Chris said. We all started to run as Chris used the horn. We got to the haunted forest first,Looked around for the other team."Woo! First place" Lightning and I said at the same time. I groaned "I said it first don't copy me" I said. The loud speaker went off  "Welcome to the haunted forest! Your clue can be found at the base of this tree" Chris said. Lightning went to go get the clue until his hand got stuck "OW!" he said. "In a bear trap" Chris said over the loud speaker and  he laughed. Lightning handed the clue to Dawn "Here creepy girl, read the clue" he said. "Well well well what do we have here?" Jo said. "Hey find your own piece of paper!" Lightning said. I rolled my eyes

"Come on let the Rats have their clue, I've got a plan" Jo said. I growled "Inside a knot is a nest, your souvenir lives with a pest, find Polaris to travel North-West" Dawn said "Polaris is the North Star" Scott pointed to the sky "The North Star is right there, so we just travel this way, which is North-West, there is a path!" Scott said and we all ran that way. "You know a lot about the outdoors" I said to him. "I am always out there" he said. "Aye but at least your actually trying to help us, good job" I smiled at him and I ran ahead. "Inside the knot is a nest..' Sam said, thinking about it "Hey Dawn? What was the middle part?" He said as he was looking for her. "Dawn? Dawn!?" Sam said. "What did we lose the weirdo?" Scott said. "Guys were penalized for each player we lose, we should go look for her" I said. "Yeah.." Sam said. "But guys, there is a big spider on the loose!" Lightning said. "Were looking for A knot with a nest right?" Scott said. "There it is!" Lightning said pointing to a tree with one green line and one red line. "Guys what about Dawn?" Sam said. "Guys we'll be penalized if-"I said. "Yeah yeah you have good listening skills, congrats" Lightning said and he started climbing the tree. "Oh that's it!"  I said. I walked over with my fists clenched. "I should've done this on episode 1" I lifted my fist but Scott and Sam held me back. When lightning reached into the tree, there was this octopus thing in the tree. We all screamed when we saw it. It held Lightning by the neck and he was getting slapped, This was funny but i have to save him, I ran to go punch the tentacle but it grabbed my wrist and it held me up in the air. Then it held me by my ankles, upside down. "of course" I said "HELP!" I screamed. Then Sam said "I've seen this in sea-creatures 5, in order to beat a squid-" the blood started going to my head and i got all woozy., but i stopped listening to Sam. I felt rocks hit me, the squid thing dropped me after rocks got thrown. I fell and i closed my eyes tightly, when i opened them, I saw that Scott caught me. He put me down after "Thanks" I smiled. I ran to the other side, I saw Sam and Scott doing the thing he said, like from a video game. I saw Scott get punched by the squid. I ran over to help him up "Just returning the favor" I said. Then Sam got lifted up by the squid. "No calamari does that to the Lightning! Sha-bam!" He said punching it in the eye. The squid went away soon after. Lightning grabbed a key but then I saw it on the ground. "Guys where is Lightning?" I said. No one listened to me and Scott just grabbed the key. "Jackpot!" He said. "Guys where is Lightning?!" I said. "Guess he is gone" Scott shrugged. Whatever I'm done.
