Chapter 3

~A week later~Sunday~

I jumped out of the shower quickly wrapping a towel around my body as I ran into my bedroom, just to see Connor leaning against the window frame, staring outside.

"Shit Con! You scared the crap outta me!". I shouted as I placed my hand to my chest trying to steady my breathing.

He chuckled as he turned his head to look at me, "Sorry Scar! So what's up?". He jumped backwards onto my bed making sure to keep his gaze on me,

"My mum said she's taking me out for dinner tonight, but I fell asleep and now I only have like an hour to get ready!". I spoke while looking though my closet for something to wear.

"An hour is plenty of time!".

I shook my head as I picked out a black and white skin-tight dress that came just about my knees, "Not when you have to start from the beginning, now as much as I love you, you gotta get going so I can get ready".

"Just get changed in the bathroom! I'm staying here for a while, I haven't seen you in like forever!".

I giggled as I started with my hair, "You saw me two nights ago love".

"Exactly!". He sat up smiling as he just watched me.

I glance at him through the mirror as I plugged my hair dryer in, "What?". I spoke through a giggle as i shook my head sightly.

"Me and Ry are together".

My eyes widened as I let out a high pitched scream, "YES! Finally! OK, so tell me everything!".

Conner spent the next forty-five minutes telling me everything and I listened very carefully while I got ready.

"What did I tell you? I could see how much you two liked each other, and you were both too scared to do anything, sometimes you just gotta take chances".

I slipped my heels on and turned to face Connor as a wide grin formed on my lips, "I'm happy for you though!" I pulled him in a tight hug just as my mum shouted up the stairs that I needed to hurry up.

I grabbed my purse and phone then made my way downstairs with Connor following.

"OK, so I best get going, have fun tonight, oh and, you look beautiful by the way Scar! Bye Mrs B!".

"Goodbye Connor". My mother smiled polity as he waved and walked out the house closing the door behind him.

"He is such a lovely lad! OK, so, are you all ready Scar?".

I smiled and nodded, "Yep! Lets go! I'm starving!".

My mum giggled as she grabbed her bag and we stepped out of the house and made our way to the car.

"You look very lovely tonight".

I smiled as we got in the car and drove off, "Thanks, I think I did pretty well considering I had an hour to get ready".

I giggled slightly as I turned to look out the window, singing quietly to the radio.

~7:30pm~

We walked into the restaurant instantly getting shown to our table.

"It's been a long time since we spent some time together, don't ya think Scar?".

I smiled and nodded, "Yea, I guess it has".

"And you've been studying so hard, I thought you could do with a little break".

I started looking through the menu, "And because I've been studying a lot lately, I managed to pass my English exam".
