Lonely Nights

Sophie's POV

It was my first night alone in a while...it IS my first night without Sky. When I saw him leave this morning it felt like my world fell apart, like I had lost everything.  As I was lost in thought I was brought back into reality by my phone ringing.
"Hello" I answer.
"Hey Princess, miss me?" Sky replied.
"Sky! How are you? Are you alright? Di-"
"Relax Soph, I am okay. I arrived at the hotel a few minutes ago."
"I miss you Sky, so much!" I admit.
"I know Sophie, I know." Sky said in a gentle tone." 

We talked for what seems like hours.  I finally noticed the time.
"Sky, it's 3:00am you should get to bed.  You have a big day tomorrow." I say.
"Yeah, I guess..okay well goodnight Sophie." He Sky replied.
"Goodnight Sky." I say as I hang up.

Sky's POV

I know Sophie, she is broken, I can tell by the sound of her voice.  Did I make the right decision? I don't know anymore I admit to myself as I lay down in bed and stare at the ceiling.  I pull out a picture of Sophie and I out of my wallet as I look at it for a few moments I begin to regret my decision, I should have stayed, I should have stayed with Sophie.  Taking my phone off the nightstand I text Sophie before falling asleep wishing I was somewhere else instead.

Sophie's POV

I tried distracting myself as best I could by working on the grand opening of the hotel but nothing seemed to work, my mind was only focusing on one thing, Sky. 
"Sophie dear, what are you still doing up? It's late." I hear a familiar voice say.  I turn around and see my stepfather Sam standing behind me.
"Oh, just...paperwork." I say quietly.  That was a lie, the truth is I finished my paperwork hours ago I just didn't want to go to sleep.  Apparently Sam knew I was lying as well, I should have known he knows me better than anybody.
"Sophie that is not it, what is on your mind?" Sam asks.
"It's Sky." I mumble.
"What about him?" Sam asks as he pulls a chair up beside me.
"I miss him, so much." I admit.
"I know you do Sophie." Sam smiled.
"You should head to bed though." Sam added.
"Yeah I guess your right." I smile.

I walk up to my room and get into bed.  I decide to check my phone before going to sleep.  As I opened by phone I saw that Sky sent me a message.

I will make it up to you Sophie, I promise. Xx

Reading the message made me instantly happier.  I drifted off to sleep dreaming of the day Sky would come back.  Please come back soon Sky, I need you, WE need you I smile as I fall asleep.
