Sam closed the front door and stepped into his house, that he shares with his friends Aaron, Jake, Corey, Elton, and his crush and best friend Colby.
Sam smiled at Colby's name. He had been Sam's friend for a long time. Colby and Sam had met when they liked the same girl. (correct me if I'm wrong!). Colby was the emo of the school for years until Sam turned him into the goofball he is today.
Sam heard a yawn and Colby stumbled down the stairs, greeting Sam with a bright yet lazy smile. Sam blushed and cleared his throat. "Hey, Colbs!"
Colby nodded, "hey, Sammy...". "How are you?" Sam asks and Colby shrugs, "doing fine, just very tired.." Colby responds, making his way back to the kitchen. Sam follows him and when they reach the kitchen Sam leans on the counter and Colby searches for some bread to make toast. "Why are you so tired Colbs?" Sam asks Colby freezes for a second, thinking about a lie to tell Sam. "Just thinking for video ideas, ya know?" Colby says, regretting the fact he has to lie about his late night thoughts. Truth was that Colby had a major crush on his best friend, Sam, and he wasn't sure if Sam would accept him or reject him for his thoughts.
Sam tilts his head and studies Colby for a second before chuckling. Colby turns to Sam, "what's so funny?" Colby asks. Sam shakes his head, "nothing, just the fact you're lying and you were thinking about something else!". Colby has a confused expression pasted on his face and Sam giggles. "You're blushing dude, what's the problem?" Sam asks. Colby ignores Sam's comment and walks out of the kitchen. Sam lets out a low growl and grabs Colby's shoulder. "Answer me, Colby! You know I hate being ignored..." Sam says but Colby stays silent. Sam turns Colby to face him and waits. "Sam, really, I was only thinking about videos I swear!" Colby says while trying to escape Sam's grasp. "No, Colby, you're lying dear.," Sam says and Colby sighs. "Fine, if you're in so much need of knowing, I'll tell you.." Colby says giving up. Sam smirks and lets go of Colby.
"I'm all ears!" Sam says to Colby. Colby hesitates before deciding to just get it over with. "Well, Sam, I was thinking about our friendship. I mean, not just our friendship..." Colby starts. "I've been getting these feelings and thoughts that I haven't had in a very long time towards anyone. I guess what I'm trying to say is that..." Colby pauses and Sam listens closer. "I've never thought I'd say this to anyone, let alone you, but here goes nothing..." Colby breathes in. "Sam Golbach, you're the most perfect human being I've met and I'm in love with you!". Sam's heart raced and he searched for words to explain the joy and happiness within him. No words came to mind so he hugged Colby so tight that it would probably leave marks. "Colby Brock, I'm afraid to say that I, Sam Golbach, am in love with you too..." Sam says.
Let us just say that Colby and Sam hugged and maybe kissed once or twice for the rest of the night.....
