Turning 14

Chapter 18-

Mia's pov:

Tomorrow is my 14th birthday. Doesn't time fly? Ariana told me she has something planned but I doubt it. She's too busy with her career to waste time on me. Just a "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" from her would be more than enough. Nick and I have been dating for a couple months now and he says he has something special planned for me also.

Nick is very very fun and romantic so I could only imagine what he has planned.

"My little baby is gonna be 14!" Ariana sang as she jumped down the stairs diving on me to give me a big hug as I was pouring orange juice. She was all dressed and ready to go. With a white crop top and a pink high wasted skirt. She smelt like a perfume store... But it in a good way. I have always been jealous about how pretty she is but like come on who doesn't want her entire wardrobe? I loved when Ariana hugged me. It really shows how much she loves me.

I let out a giggle when she wrapped her arms around me and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

"Go upstairs and get ready. We leave in 5 minutes." She pushed the hair out from in front of my eyes.

"Where are we going?" I was really confused because Ariana told me she had to go to the studio today but even if she was dragging me to the studio I had no problem with it.

"We are going to the mall then going to the studio for a few hours. Scooter wants me to fins uh up a song today because I took off tomorrow" her big brown eyes looked right into my eyes. "But if you don't wanna come then I guess that's fine" she added and smiled.

"I'm coming with you. Why did you take off tomorrow?" I just stared at her.

"Do you honestly think I'm going to miss my baby's 14th birthday?" She slapped my arm as if I said something completely stupid.

"Well my birthday isn't that important." I stood up and started to walk up the stairs towards my room.

"I have a different opinion on that statement" she ran behind me and kissed the top of my head. "Go get ready." She nudged my arm towards my room.

I walked up to my room and I was confused. Why would she take off for my birthday? She doesn't even take off for her own birthday. I guess I'll have to find out tomorrow.

I picked out the only clean clothes I had in my drawers. A light pink tank top and tie dye Shorts which were once plain white but I got bored one day. On my feet were black converse. I brushed my long hair until it was knotless and smooth then I pushed it back with a white head band from lulu lemon. I grabbed my phone off the charger and went down stairs.

N- hey. Unable to see you tomorrow

N-family emergency

N-I will make it up to you

N-I love you so much princess

N-thanks for understanding

N-talk to you later

Nick never has family emergency so I knew this was either a cover for something he is planning or an actual family emergency. I decided not to text him back so he could be spending time with his family. I couldn't help but to tear up a little because all I really wanted was to see my boyfriend on my birthday. I have Ariana all to myself tomorrow and that's all I need.

"Don't think I didn't see those tears of yours. What's going on?" Ariana asked me as I walked down the stairs.

"Nick has a family emergency so he's not going to be able to come over and hang out with me tomorrow." I started to cry again and I dug my head between Ariana's shoulder and her head. She had a smirk on her face so I knew something was up.

"He will make it up to you. I promise" she hugged me and opened the front door which was my signal to get into the car. I decided to text nick back saying "k sorry to hear that. Ttyl" he immediately answered me. When I didn't answer he kept calling and texting me saying how sorry he was but I just turned my phone off because I didn't want to deal with it. Ariana could tell in my eyes that it was bothering me.

"You have me. Isn't that all you ever need?" She smiled so big that I saw her teeth.

"Yea I guess." I nodded.

"Good." She responded and turned the car on and started to pull out of the driveway. Her phone started to ring like usual she told me to answer it. I saw the number and I knew it was nick so I just lied and told her I missed the call.

When we arrived to the mall we pulled into a parking space and got out of the car. It was such a nice day out.

"So why are we here?" I raised my eye brows at her.

"I have to buy an outfit for the special dinner at my work tonight. " she said.

"Ok. So I'm gonna order pizza I guess." I looked up at the sky.

"You can do that or you can go to Frankie's." She turned my head towards her.

"I wanna order pizza at home If that's ok. Actually after the mall can you just drop me off at home?" I said turning my head back up to the sky again.

"Are you okay?" Ariana asked me.

"Yea I'm fine." I nodded my head.

"I'll take you home after the mall." She hugged me tight. "I'm fine" is my biggest lie. Like I'm never fine. I haven't been fine since the day I started cutting myself.

I helped Ariana pick out her outfit. A dark blue skater dress which costed $700 but she could afford it. The dress looked stunning on her well she is stunning.

"And this is because I love you and I wanna thank you for helping me pick out this dress." Ariana handed me a little wrapped up box. I un wrapped a piece of the paper so see a light blue box. The box said "TIFFANY AND CO" I can't believe she got me something from Tiffany's. I opened the box and there was a little silver bracelet inside with matching charms. One charm had an A on it, the other charm had an M and the other charm had a heart.

"This bracelet has the first letter of our names on it so we could always think about each other. " Ariana said as she showed me her wrist with the bracelet on it.

"Thank you so much. I love you." I gave her the biggest hug ever.

"Let's go home and drop you off." She grabbed my hand and we started to walk out of the mall.

We arrived home and I brought her bags inside for her because she stayed in her car. I waved when I walked in side and she pulled out of the drive way. I turned to see a figure sitting on the couch facing the tv. On the tv was a baseball game. I knew the figure was nick. It had to be. I didn't want to go over there but I suddenly felt light headed and needed to sit down. I didn't even make it to the couch before I collapsed on the ground. The last thing I heard was "Mia!!" Then the world went black.

So guys what do you think so far? Sorry I haven't up dated. I went to Europe and I just got back! It was amazing! I went to Italy, France and England!!
