Chapter 15

Chapter 15-
I laid there in peace on the ground. Not being able to move or speak but I heard and felt everything going on around me. "ARIANA ARIANA COME HOME NOW ITS AN EMERGENCY" I heard nick crying on the phone. Nick started rubbing my arm. I heard in his voice he was so upset. "Babe it's gonna be ok it's gonna be ok I'm here" I wanted to answer him but I couldn't. I couldn't get any words out of my mouth. I knew I was laying on the floor. My back was cold and the surface was very hard.
A few minutes later I heard the door open. "Nick what happened what's wrong?" I heard Arianas voice in panic.
"She walked in and I I heard a bang and I turned and she was on the floor." Nick trembled as he tried to talk but he couldn't get his words out.
"This happens to her often. Go upstairs and get a cold wash cloth." Ariana demanded.
I heard nicks big feet running up the stairs. Seconds later he came back down. Ariana started rubbing my face with a cold towel. My vision came back. My eyes started to open and I saw Ariana smiling down at me.
"See she's ok." She kisses my forehead. "Mia your coming to work with me today just incase this happens again. And nick I'll drive you home." She added. I was happy that nick was going home because I was mad at him. He lied to me. He didn't have a family emergency. If he had a family emergency that's where he would be right now. Not sitting on my couch watching football. Ariana picked me up and brought me to the car. She put me in the back seat with nick. She probably thought everything was all rainbows and flowers but it wasn't. Nick reached his arm around me. I wanted to put my head on his shoulder so bad. But I couldn't. I was so mad. It's hard to not be so mushy with him. He tried to talk to me but I didn't answer. Once he got dropped off I felt so much better. He knew I was mad at him.
"What was that about?" Ariana asked me.
"He lied to me. He told me he had a family emergency and couldn't come see me today or tomorrow. Then I go home and he's siting on our couch watching football. Why would he lie?" I snapped at her.
"He wanted to surprise you. He wanted to do something sweet for you." She blushed.
"Well it pissed me off." I said.
"Mia are you okay?" She turned around and looked at me.
"Do you want honesty?" I asked her. She nodded."no. I'm not ok. I've never been ok nor will I ever be ok. I've lived most of my life in feat that no one will ever love me. I grew up surrounded by disappointment that I wasn't the one to get adopted. You didn't even want me. No one wanted me. Just because I'm a year older doesn't make me any happier. I put on a fake smile to try to make everyone happy but I'm dying inside. I want my life to be over and I've wanted it to be over ever since it started. I grew up watching kids get so happy when they were adopted and it killed me inside to know that I may never be one of them. I always rely on people that don't even care about me. I am depressed and I take pills for it every single day. Your life is so perfect that you never see how rough mine is. Sometimes I feel like I'm living in your shadow. That's how I really feel" the tears started coming. I pressed my face against the cool glass window and just started to cry. Ariana was crying to.
"Princess I didn't know you felt that way. Your the best thing that's ever happened to me. You keep me calm and happy. Ever since U came into my life I've been so much happier. I love you more than I love myself. Your wanted by so many people. By me, nick, frankie and grandma. We all love you. Your life is just beginning. I promise to spend more time with you because I love you more then anything. Please be happy. It's your birthday." She gave me a hug even tho she was driving.
"Ok." My crying stopped alittle. "I love you 2" I said back.
"Now let's go to work" she kissed my hand.
Off to work we went...
