I cut myself open for you,
I defended you,
I opened my heart again and it broke,
As I leave and let go, you won't want it
The door that I had opened for you is closed, taped off like a crime scene,
Let the promises that were left out be torn and forgotten,
I won't be something to butter up and taste when you get bored,
Don't come back when you see that I have moved on, you'll want me when I won't need you,
Be happy and forget,
Don't ask why I am distant or never around,
I'll learn to forget the way your hand felt in mine,
I'll learn to forget the excitement you had when you held me in your arms,
Slowly your voice will become a sound that will be erased from my memory,
Your smile will be removed from my heart and so will your name.
Sorry but I'm no longer open for business, my heart is closed.
I won't be back soon, so enjoy the aftermath.
