Evelyn's POV

Tris, Lexi and I have just passed the border separating Dauntless from Abnegation and are headed for the city of grey. I may be only 20 years old and have 4 children but I still know what I want and that is to have a life away from Max, a life with Marcus.

_______

We arrived after an hour of walking at Marcus' house and were greeted by him at the steps.

"You made it, my love," he said in his sexy, husky voice.

"I told you we would be together."

As I said this his eyes drifted towards Lima and Tris. Tris' petite figure was dangling off of Lexi's arms and her former whimpers were replaced with her small snores.  Lexi, on the other hand, had her tough exterior on and she was about to kill someone.

"Well aren't you going to be happy here in our selfless world," Marcus said as he acknowledged my eldest daughter.

"Talk, touch or look at me and I will murder you in a matter of seconds, got it," Lexi replied with hatred dripping through her voice.

Then the unexpected happened, a hand came down striking Lexi on the cheek. Luckily she had a very good grip on her sister and was probably one of the toughest people you will ever meet. In fact, I have never seen my daughter cry.

"Listen here little girl if you want to live to see the next day I would follow my instructions am I understood."

"I am not scared of some low life like you, I am a Pedrad and I have more nobility running through my veins than you have meaning in this world."

"Well you may not be scared of me hurting you, but I sure as hell wouldn't mind hurting that little sister of yours."

"You wouldn't dare" Lexi replied, fear was written all over her face. "Mum, you wouldn't let him, right?," I remain silent, "RIGHT."

"I hate you, I hate you, you are the worst mother ever." With that remark, she runs into the plain grey house only to be followed by Marcus. Lexi had placed her little sister into a bed and made sure that she was warm and sleeping peacefully after her screaming match with Marcus and me.

"Well, well, well doesn't she look peaceful in that bed, unharmed," Marcus wickedly spat towards my daughter.

"But as for the other little problem of yours has another thing coming."

I love him.

I love him.

Right???
