e i g h t; advicethe school week seemed to drag on for what felt like a century. from yoongi almost missing two deadlines of assignments, to namjoon finally breaking jin's car completely by accidentally pressing too hard on the accelerator, sending himself and the vehicle straight into a tree.
"yo, dicksack, get your ass up we're going out."
to yoongi's delight, he was awaken by jimin's voice booming into his ear at eleven in the morning, so much for a lie in.
jimin was yoongi's closest friend in the bangtan crew, although he was close to the other six boys, he just found safety in jimin; he could trust him with anything and everything.

walking into various shops, yoongi found himself becoming more and more tired, his feet dragging along the cobbles that covered the walkways.
upon yoongi's exhausted request, jimin agreed to taking a seat in the nearest place they could sit down for a rest, which just happened to be the library.
despite his aura and attitude towards studying, yoongi actually found the library to be a calming place. in fact he came here quite often when he just wanted to chill, listen to music and just de-stress.
'the peacefulness that comes with being in a library is heavenly.'
or so namjoon says.
on the third floor of the library is a small café in which students from yoongi's school can study and just any person that visits the library can just sit and enjoy a coffee or pastry.
as soon as you enter, you're greeted with pastel coloured walls decorated in quotes from famous artists and poets. not only that but every so often, the owner of the café would bring in her small chihuahua's and keep them in a corner where people can go up and pet them. yoongi enjoyed the petting of the dogs the highlight of the ordeal.
as the two wandered the noiseless building, they soon found a comfy spot to sit and relax for a while. since jimin had left to go and order drinks, it left yoongi with the chance to admire the beauty the library had to offer.
whilst his eyes wandered the place, he soon spotted a familiar face.
as jimin was still waiting in queue to order, yoongi begins to walk over to the person, the closer he gets, the more he realises that something just isn't right.
"soomin?" he whispers as he places his hand softly upon her shoulder.
as she subsides the visible shock in her eyes, she flashes a faint smile towards the male and greets him back.
they both stay like that for a few moments before yoongi decides to help himself to the seat next to soomin's, "are you alright?".
with a chuckle, she reassured him with a nod and stares back at her computer, which seems to be the beginning of her assignment, it's quite obvious as the only words on the screen was the title.
"as i was walking over here, it didn't seem like you were fine."
"there's just a lot going on at the moment, i can't seem to think of a single word for my paper which is due in two days and on top of that my mother has just been irritating me lately." she said with a sigh.
as she turned to face yoongi again, he swore he'd never seen anything so out of the usual for the girl, the girl who gets one of the top grades in their class as well as the one who never lets her smile drift far from her face.
"maybe you just need to talk to someone about your struggles," he smiled "i just so happen to be a good listener. what's on your mind?"
with a small pout on her lips, soomin began to speak, not caring about the level of noise she was creating, "it's just hard. life is hard. having to constantly meet everyone's expectations on my own life is hard. it's my life yet it seems everyone has an opinion on how i live it," she paused "after i leave here my mother wants me to go abroad to study dance at university yet i can't come up with anything to even audition with. i cant even talk to her about it considering i can't let her down, it's all just too hard."
yoongi listened intensely, empathising with every word she spoke. however, he found himself becoming intrigued. the girl who was so perfect in every way (at least to him) was going through a shitty time.
it makes him rethink everything he seemed to create in his mind. the girl who he saw in his dreams was nothing like the girl sat next to him right now.
"life is meant to be shitty. we are meant to be challenged, that way, we can learn and experience new things. whilst we can't always live up to the expectations of others, all we can do is try our hardest and if that isn't good enough... then who cares what they think."
as the two share a longing stare, no words shared, they knew and understood one another in this moment.
"hyung, we need to leave!" jimin interrupted whilst trying to remain as quiet as he could. two coffee cups in his hands, he stood there watching the two staring at each other.
as soomin and yoongi bid their farewells, soomin quietly and sincerely thanked him for his words and shared that she'll think back to this moment whenever she feels stressed again.
a quick wave was shared between the two before jimin and yoongi both left and soomin wondered where yoongi had been all her life.
