Once again, the art doesn't belong to my crusty ass.
I have so many AUs I don't know what to do with them all but Sero works in a flower shop the summer after high school ends. (This one is an example oneshot, with a male reader 'cause I'm gay)
Beaten and bruised in an alley behind a flower shop wasn't how (y/n) expected to meet the love of his life, but here he was, on the ground, with a tall, black-haired boy stretching out his hand to help the shorter boy up.
"Thanks.."
"No problem! Are you quite alright?"
The first thing (y/n) noticed about the boy was his triangular smile. Some might think it weird, but to (y/n) it was endearing, even cute if he may be so bold. The (h/c)-haired boy realized triangle-smile was waiting for an answer, and quickly snapped out of his thoughts. "U-umm, yeah, I' m fine, this happens a lot. My name is (y/n)..."
Triangle boy looked worried for a moment but introduced himself as well. "Well, you don't look too okay... I'm Hanta Sero, nice to meet you (y/n)."
With that, you took his hand and pulled yourself off the ground, wincing when you put pressure on your left ankle. "Cheez Christo! What the hell did that guy do..."
Sero grimaced. "That ankle looks... really broken. Can I help you?"
"You don't have to do that... we just met and I'd rather not hinder you further." You attempted to wave the other boy away, but nearly fell and luckily Sero caught you. "...Okay, maybe I need a little help." You may or may not have been comfortable in the arms of the arguably handsome boy as well. Either way, you allowed Sero to walk you home (more or less) and thanked him, to which he responded with a simple nod and a smile. Hopefully, you could see Sero again, as he seemed nice and might be just the teeniest little bit adorable. However, maybe not in the same circumstances as last time.
A few days later, the fates answered your prayers, but not in the way you had hoped. Once again, Sero found you beaten half to unconsciousness in the alleyway by the shop. The same group of people as before had seen you, and as they remembered you, they decided you could take a second beating and that your money belonged to them. You had not concurred with their decision, but of course, they didn't give a crusty fuck what you thought. Because your leg was still hurting from your last run-in, you couldn't protect yourself all that well. Which led to the current scolding you were receiving from the adorable flower shop employee.
"I can't believe you'd be that reckless! And not getting a proper brace for your ankle? Did you even go to the doctors? Your ankle could be broken!" Sero cut himself off before he could scream you into levels of anxiety that would make even the author shiver. "Listen... I just don't want you getting hurt. I know that sounds weird, coming from someone you've just barely met, but you're pretty cool so far and I just... I don't know, I get attached easily." The boy held up his elbow. "haha... quite literally..."
You chuckled, admiring the pun and the boy in front of you. "It's okay, Sero. I understand your concern, and we absolutely HAVE to stop meeting like this." You flashed a wink.
The boy in front of you became flustered, and he busied himself with wrapping your hurt leg in his tape to serve as a cast until you saw the doctor.
You chuckled and allowed him to finish up before giving him a pat on the head and making your way home. Soon, as requested you saw the doctor and the hospital healed your leg with a quirk.
A few days later, passing by the flower shop on your way to a small cafe, you noticed a little 'help-wanted' sign in the window. You grinned and decided to postpone your trip to the cafe.
