What's up readers,
Warning:
There is violence in this book, though I tend to shy away from describing the nitty gritty details. Just know that there is blood and people die. Death and violence is not everyone's cup of tea so I feel that this has to be mentioned. So why isn't this book rated mature? It's because this book isn't trying to be edgy for the sake of it. The setting just calls for some violence. Other than that, there is very light cussing.
Here are some examples: weasel, skiv, shit, and that's about it.
There is no smut here either. So what you get is a young adult book with some adult themes. It's a book grownups and young adults can enjoy. It's a little dark, so you've been warned.
Enjoy.
Here's the summary:
Hellghast is a prison that's meant for no man of heart, much less a girl of sixteen years. Yet Kara finds herself trapped in a world where the next meal is won fighting with other 'zeros' for scraps left behind by the Superiors. It's her brother that keeps her from giving in to darkness that surrounds her. To keep him alive is her aim.
But after a match in the Blood Pit, she finds herself near death. Then a figure from the darkness tells her of a secret she herself has long forgotten. The secret tells a story of what has been taken from her in the name of greed, and she will stop at nothing to take it back.
