As always thanks so much for the support, if you haven't read the first book: The Rockstar & The Normal Girl go ahead and head was over to my page, I'll be uploading the story to this account. It is re-written because the original just has too many mistakes.

______________________________________________________Chapter one: Where we've been...
*22 years later*
"Hey guys! its me Josh and welcome back to another episode of Metal box here in 94.8, were we update you on the latest news in the metal world! Here joining us today is the one and only, the legend himself and one of the most wanted music producers in this industry, Kellin Quinn!" Josh said as he introduced me.
"Hey guys! Its Kellin from Sleeping with sirens" I said with a smile.
"wow! I bet its been a while since you've said that phrase huh?"
"Uh, yea dude, its been a few years." I nodded my head.
"Must be great to be back in the media world after years worth of being completely distant. Everyones been dying to get an interview with you to see whats new in your life, and to see what plans you have for one of the most prestigious label records out there in this music scene. Not to mention, talk about your legacy that is being passed down to us!"
"Oh thanks dude, but, I didnt do all this by myself. I had help from the guys and my beautiful wife. And yea, After we-- me and the guys decided to call it quits we just decided that we wanted some privacy so we could enjoy our time with our family without having to be interrupted by unexpected meeting and interviews. So this is actually the first interview I do by myself since the day we decided to retire."
"It's trully an honor that we get to be your first! Yeah, we understand that it must have been hard for you guys to travel all the time and never get see your family, especially you, when you guys did your last interview and gave us the big announcement you guys were on your "Goodbye isn't a forever" tour. It seems like only yesterday when you guys were on that stage behind me rocking out.
So everyone is dying to know what you have been doing these past 5 years, care to share some of that with us? And if you and the boys still visit or are friends and all that jazz."
"Yeah--yeah, um, during our last five year its been pretty hectic. After quitting-- well retiring, I don't want to say quite because i don't think I could ever quit music. I spent like 5 months relaxing, and after those 5 months of being around the house and doing some work on my house and stuff not time mention being a full time dad, i realized that, I didn't want to retire from music. I mean, I wanted to retire sleeping with sirens because I think we had a really good run, we all achieved our goals, played with monster bands, you know breaking our own record sellouts... it was just crazy and I didn't really want to quit music. At the moment, I had new dreams and goals and I wanted to keep doing music, but still be a proper father to my children and the best husband I could be for my amazingly beautiful wife. So I was talking to Cassie about this one night I think on our first date night since the band, and all we could do is talk about the wonderful memories that we had traveling the world, and with my kids picking up on music and playing instruments, it only made sense that i wanted to not only help my kids but help other kids reach their goals and dreams of recording albums and selling albums after albums, like me and the guys dreamed of doing ages ago. So Cassie suggested, why not create our own record label. I could not only help my kids grow but help other kids with the burning desire to make music and make their dreams come true. so I think that summer me the boys and my wife got together and created KC Quinn Records. At first, I was a bit iffy about this whole record label thing, not because of the time and effort that we were going to have to put in the label but the fact that I was getting back into the industry right after we said we were going to take a break and relax. And not only that but there is some really hard and serious competition out there... but I guess you can never really take the music out of the musician."
"I couldn't have said it better mate, so, your company is only a few years old and it's already topping all other metal record labels out there who have been in the industry for years, decades even. How did you guys do it? what's so different about KC Quinn Records from the rest of the labels out here today? you guys beat the odds."
"Its actually still unbelievable, we've had so much help from our friends and fans and family its just, unreal. I think we're different from the rest of the labels because, we're a close community in Quinn records. I know a lot of other labels say the same thing but this one's for real. We have friends and family working in the business, and just to clear this up I don't want to label KCQ as a "family business" because I've personally have had so much trouble going through family labeled labels when we first started and it was just bad. I dont want the kids to get this idea where you have to have connections to come and join us, or to have to check us out and consider us. what I mean by close community is that, everyone who comes in and sings becomes apart of the Quinn family. We have BBQ Fridays where we making some food for the company and just step back from work and really appreciate why we're here and just take the moment in. I think a lot of people get lost in the money and fame. It's not at all about that, it's about who you work with as a team. Sure the band is the main subject but it takes a whole crew to make things happen. I remember first starting out in this industry and tons of bands that we had met were just full of themselves and never really appreciated the crew who put the scenery together. It's both equal parts and I want to make everyone feel like they have a reason to be here, to motivate them and keep on reaching for their dreams. It seems like and optimistic thought but it works. My guys are everything to me besides my family, without them KCQ wouldn't be anything... I mean we have all kinds of people working at KCQ. The fun thing about this is that our friends from tours and other band members work with us. In fact when we first thought of this we contacted some of our homies from Pierce The Veil, Of Mice & Men, Memphis May Fire, Bring me the Horizon, Jack, Gabe, Jesse, Justin and we talked to them about the plan that we hand and essentially we kinda all mushed together,"
"mushed together?" he laughed.
"Yeah, like, we kinda all got together and put in some ideas. Mike, Vic, Tony, Alan, Austin, Mattie, Olie, the boys and I have all a place in the label. So like for example, on our web page we have a submit video button where bands have the opportunity to submit a video or an EP soundtrack along with an intro page that talks about who the band is, and what their goals and dreams are. From there we get the file, check them out and if we like them and we see that they have really good potential then we decide where they go. The guys and I then select who we want to work with and work with them from their, we become kind of like mentors. Of Course were not the only ones there, we have guys working there that first helped us out. so its a pretty tight community. we're all really dedicated on these kids and we're just here to help their goals come true."
"well said kellin. I think its amazing that other members from the band and old friends are working with you to create something for local bands out there struggling. Talking about kids in bands, how are yours? We heard that they're filling in dads footsteps."
"Yes actually! I don't want to say they're filling my shoes because I think they've already surpassed my shoes, they're just great kids, they have amazing talent. I'm not saying that because they're my kids, well maybe a little but I promise you that they can back up any complement that is thrown at them."
"you must be a really proud dad."
"I couldn't be prouder. I mean growing up without a father in my life, I didn't want my kids to feel like I was always away from them. Music is kind of our thing together. Even if they would have picked different careers I think I would still make the effort to get into what they like and I want my other kids to feel that way too. I call the other bands that I work with, my kids becasue some of these kids come from broken homes and bad pasts. Not to mention some of these guys are as old as my kids or younger and i just want them to feel like someone out there loves them and is supporting what they do. Music, really does save lives."
"I agree, I know that growing up sleeping with sirens, of mice and men, memphis may fire, for today, oh sleeper and many more really helped me get through hard times in life, I think its a great thing what you guys are doing! Also congrats on the fourth annual KCQ festival! thats going to be the event of the summer! we heard rumors that you and Lyman are working together on this tour, is that true? or possibly work together on warped tour?"
" Wow! News spreads quickly. We have a few projects up our sleeves that I can't say now, but you guys will find out sometime before the festival begins."
"Aw man, its cool we respect that, well thank you so much kellin, you're a really cool guy and really down to Earth. It was an honor meeting you--"
"The honor was mine getting to see all you amazing people again was fun! Metalbox is seriously best radio hands down!"
