Out of the many, I stand alone...
Under a mask of different emotions...
Beneath the soft smiles, beneath the tired eyes....
Beneath the weak voice,
Hidden behind it,
Is my true identity...The person I really am...
The person, I am shown unto the world...Whispers, glares, mocking is all I am met with,
A sight that wounds me the most.No one knows the reason I stay hidden...
In the dark shadows, behind a mask...
Under a hood of a sweater and jacket...
Hidden away from the lies and fake people...
Hidden away from the whispers, glares, and mocking...It becomes a comfort zone,
A place that keeps the truth hidden,
A truth that people hate to see...
The truth that suddenly becomes poison in the mouth of others...Seen as a shame...
As a nightmare in the day...
Seen as a suffering,
As a burden on the shoulder...For as long as I stay hidden, the world won't judge....
Be of the darkness that hide amongst the crowd...
For one day, we might become light...
