~Briley's POV~

Turning to look at Harry, Mr. Adams looks as if Harry startled him. "Harry. I am glad to see that you finally got a girlfriend," he said with a blank expression, "but she is, well, let's just say, not right for you." I was shocked. How could he possibly know who is "right" for Harry? Already I'm hating this guy.

Thankfully, before I could get any angrier Harry replied. "Unfortunately, Mr. Adams, you don't really know either of us. So I have know idea what you are using to make this conclusion."

"Fortunately, I know your type. And she," Mr. Adams said glaring at me, "most definetly is not your type." Then he just grinned. He was truthfully creepy.

Harry was visually getting angrier. I was worried about what he was about to say.

"What are you asking of me?! Are you asking me to forget everyone, all the people I've ever loved, all the people I know, and become what? Are you asking me to become a heartless, selfish monster?" Harry said, barely whispering the last word.

"Oh Harry," Mr. Adams said shaking his head. "I'm afraid I'm not asking for you to do anything."

"WHY AM I EVEN HERE?!" I suddenly scream. I don't even know where that came from.

"Because I needed to give you this," Mr. Adams said handing me a paper folded in thirds, "and I thought it best to deliver it personally."

I just sat there wondering what this could possibly be when Mr. Adams said, "Go ahead. Open it."

I slowly unfolded the paper. When i saw what it said I gasped. Quickly Harry took the paper out of my hands and read it. He sat, looking at his shoes, and nothing else. After a few silent minutes Mr. Adams started laughing.

"WHAT PART OF THIS IS FUNNY?!" Harry screams.

"The fact that she has to stay 500 feet from you at all times," Mr. Adams said laughing.

I ran out of the room, the out of the building, then in what i think is the direction of my house, crying the hole time. I quickly tire and start sweating in the summer heat. I hear a car behind me and walk to the edge of the road only to realise the car had stopped and someone got out. Warm hands wrapped around my waist and I knew instantly that it was Harry.

"I'm not going to stay away from you. Ever. And I won't let anything happen to us. I swear. I'll go to court if I have to. You don't have to be afraid of them Briley," He says comfortingly. I can tell he meant every word.

"Okay. I just don't want anything bad to happen to either of us," I say, wiping the tears from my eyes.

"Shhhh. Babe please don't cry," Harry says when he sees my tears.

"It's just that I've been alone for most of my life," I said, getting a confused look from Harry. "My parents died when I was nine and I wittnessed it all. What made it worse was that a year later my little brother died. He was four. I lived with relatives and I never had any friends going through school. I was one of those super shy nerds."

"Briley, I'm. I'm sorry," Harry says.

"Don't be. It's not your fault. And it's not my fault either. It's no one's fault," I say, "It just happens sometimes."

"Let me drive you home," He says knowing I'm lost.

"Okay."
