Gillian's POV
The sailing was silent and only the sound that the boat makes is heard.
And everyone is looking at the direction where we're going.
If I heard correctly, we're going to General Stone Island. I wonder what could be that island to be named like that.
It had been 20 minutes since we sail but I can't still see the view of the island where will going.
Suddenly, the boat stopped.
Jones came and stood up in front of us with his hands on his waist.
"Everyone, this is your stop."he said loud enough.
Wait? Our stop.
He mean...
"I am going to drop you all here. Try to make it for one kilometer and I will be waiting for all of you there."
He got to be kidding us.
Nasa kalagitnaan kami ngayon ng dagat... Or Pacific Ocean to be exact and who knows how deep this area is.
He's announcement made everyone curses and murmured surely not agreeing to what Jones'said.
I wonder what could this trick again. Is this like what Shark Joseph did to us. I remember him said Fire test so if I'm not mistaken, this must be water test.
Ugh!
"Stand up! "he shouts and hesitantly, we stand.
"Listen carefully for this will help you survive. Underwater are the 15 oxygen tanks to help you breath underwater. And remember, you only got 10 minutes so be ready. The time start when I shout. "he said and grin.
Naging alert naman ako at mabilis kong tinignan ang dagat saka lumingon muli sa kaniya.
"Jump now! "he shouts and we all jump out the boat to the water.
I held my breath as I jump and I feel the impact as I landed and found myself underwater. I opened my eyes at nakita ko ang mga kasama ko na lumalangoy.
I look around to see if there's the oxygen that Jones said and there it is.
Sa may mas malalim ng about five meters.
Nang makita ko ang mga yon, agad akong lumangoy ng mas malalim pero nakikipag-unahan na yong iba kaya mas binilisan ko pa.
I'm not a great swimmer but I know enough how to swim fast and I did hold one of the oxygen tank but someone hold it too.
I look at the person and it was another woman.
She forcefully grab it pero hindi ko binitawan kaya pati ang katawan ko at nahatak niya papunta sa kaniya.
Dahil ayoko namang magpatalo, hinila ko din ito pero hindi ko ito mahila at patuloy kaming naghihilahan.
Alam ko na kapag binitawan ko ito, may chance na hindi ako makakasurvive or pass this whatever this test is.
Fifteen kaming lahat pero paniguradong nahanap na nila ang kani-kanilang oxygen tank and it would be difficult to find the last one kaya hindi ko isusuko ang isang 'to.
After pulling the tank, I didn't expect what she did.
She used her right leg to push my stomach and it was damn hurt kaya nabitawan ko ang oxygen tank.
I was pushed down and I tasted the salty water of the ocean and she swim up.
After a few seconds, I swim upward to catch her.
When I almost reach her, I grab her ankle and pulled her to my level using my other left hand to hold the oxygen tank and my right fist punched her face and I pushed her down and kicked her before swimming to the surface.
Malapit na ako sa ibabaw pero may kamay na humatak sa paa ko so I kicked her face but that doesn't seem to affect her and I found myself on her level. Then I just felt her hands around my neck struggling me that I an already drinking water.
Gusto ko ng huminga kaya I aggressively free myself at her but it didn't work. I feel like I'm getting suffocate.
I tried to reach her face and do everything I can to free myself but it didn't work until my body already give up and I feel damn helpless.
I thought I couldn't live from this but suddenly, someone is pulling me up the surface until I can finally breath.
I gasped very hard as I inhaled the air.
"You okay now? "a familiar voice suddenly speak and I know it was Ace.
I turn to him and I am so thankful that he saved me.
Tumango na lang ako bilang sagot dahil nahihirapan pa akong magsalita.
"Let's go. The others is already halfway. "he told me and then I realised that I don't have the oxygen tank.
"Don't worry, here's the other one. "he said and gived me the tank he's holding.
I wonder if he took this from the woman I had a fight with. And I wonder what happened but I didn't ask him since we're in a hurry. She must be fine, right?
Kinuha ko ang tank at sinuot at magkasamang lumangoy. For a few minutes, nothing happened, naglangoy lang kami hanggang sa may maramdaman ako.
Para bang may kung anong sumusunod sa amin.
When I turn to see what it was, my eyes widened.
Behind us and below us are five huge flesh eating fishes. Sharks!
