Bakugou Katsuki desperately needed a dragon.

He had to have the very best Berk had to offer or there was no point. He couldn't settle for a shitty Slobber Smelter or a Puffertail, but a Razorwhip or Monstrous Nightmare would do.

Together, they would rule this stupid island together, or leave and explore everything the world had to offer. It didn't matter. Bakugou would be damned if he couldn't find his fucking dragon soulmate.

So naturally, he handled it the best way he knew how to: instantly scaring the shit out of every dragon in the arena.

Bakugou strode into the small arena, startling the dragons with his sudden entrance. "WHICH ONE OF YOU FUCKERS WANT TO BE WITH ME, HUH?" he bellowed, trying to get a reaction out of the now terrified cluster of dragons. It worked about as well as you would expect, resulting in an agitated Bakugou and a group of trainee dragons huddled against the wall, unwilling to take one step towards the loud scary man that had interrupted their peaceful afternoon.

He glared at them. Why were all the dragons he encountered so damn scared of him? Useless things couldn't detect a first-class Viking even if it was right in front of them.

"I'll just wait," he decided. "Greatness only attracts the very best."

So he slid down the rough, gray stone encircling the arena, and sat. He would accept only the strongest and manliest dragon there was.

Aizawa walked up to the defeated boy sulking on the ground. "Bakugou, it's been 2 hours-"

"I know, old man." Bakugou kept his gaze straight ahead, not willing to give up.

Aizawa sighed. He wasn't paid well enough to deal with this. "At this rate, you won't even get a Hobgobbler. At least try and pretend to be friendly."

"No. I want the best."

"Well, that's too bad," Aizawa said, losing patience. "You need to make yourself more approachable."

"This wouldn't be a fucking problem if any of them wanted to MAN UP and approach ME," he sneered. "If I can't find a dragon that deserves me, I won't have a dragon at all."

"Bakugou-"

"I'm the last person to get a dragon! I can just FEEL everyone making a MOCKERY of me because no dragon wants to partner with ME because they're all little SHITS, and I wouldn't even want any of them anyway because DEKU of all people got a fucking NIGHT FURY and I can't even get a damn Scuttleclaw."

"You need a dragon, Bakugou, especially now. You'll need to have a partner you can trust. Believe it or not, you need to rely on someone eventually."

"Fuck you."

Bakugou, his patience thoroughly gone, stood up and turned to leave.

Finding himself face-to-face with an enormous coral-red dragon that had materialized right in front of him.

It was close. Too close for his liking. He could feel little tendrils of flame from its snout pushing color into his cheeks. If Bakugou wanted, he could have reached out and touched it. But, being the arrogant jackass he was, Bakugou narrowed his eyes instead.

"Get out of my way, fuckface."

He turned to leave, and then his back was on the floor.

What?

A scaly claw dug into his chest, pinning him to the ground. Bakugou could feel the cold from the concrete seeping into his back.

Who does this bitch think he is? "Alright fucker," he growled. "Get off of me or you're going to get those wings shoved up your ass."

The dragon, unimpressed, dug in further, as if to say "you're going to fight me? I'm a dragon, idiot."

Bakugou sent his best death stare into the dragon's fiery eyes.

The dragon, unflinching, glared right back.

They stayed like that for a couple of minutes, each unwilling to back down.

Eventually, Aizawa (who had been watching, amused, the entire time) stepped in with a suggestion.

"How about the two of you partner so I don't have to deal with this for any longer?" He yawned and promptly sat down so he was eye to eye with the problem child. "I have places to be."

"Yeah, like at Mic's house? I don't give a shit."

Aizawa sighed. "I'm tired and I just want to take a nap at my boyfriend's house, dipshit. Can you do me a solid and take him the hell away from me?" He asked the dragon.

The dragon cocked its head as if to consider the offer. The next moment, he had Bakugou by the shoulders and could be seen carrying the screaming boy over the towers of Burke. A rapid stream of curses echoed off the rocky cliffs, getting softer and softer until all was at peace again.

Aizawa sighed. He'd had enough of this kid for a lifetime.

Just going to leave this here I guess- this is my first work so go easy on me ^-^
