So in this shitty excuse of a chapter I wanna tell you guys how this book came to be.

I was trying to write a book since I had lots of ideas for antagonists in mind, but I couldn't figure out who and what the protagonist should be like. Around this time, I was part of a Tokyo Ghoul game community and I decided that I could write a book where I put them in as protagonists. And that's basically how the book came to be. So let's jump right in!

Kriemhild Gretchen is a witch from the anime Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica. She's the witch form of the main character, Madoka. Kriemhild Gretchen's bio is as follows:

Witch of salvation. Her nature is mercy. She absorbs any life on the planet into her newly created heaven--her barrier. The only way to defeat this witch is to make the world free of misfortune. If there's no grief in this world, she will believe this world is already a heaven.

Kriemhild Gretchen looks like Madoka on top of gigantic eyelashes so I didn't have to go out of my way to search for human versions of her. What I found really hard was to be her. I couldn't put so many things in words because it would've been to graphic for the readers. Kriemhild Gretchen's sick mind was what gave her some great spotlight in the last chapter, where she shouted:

"I WILL BRING YOU SALVATION!!!"

To me those were one of the most powerful lines. In my artistic point of view, this just gives insight into the sick and twisted mind of the witch, who thinks that ending humanity as a whole will be an answer to end suffering.

In the last lines, Kriemhild runs off with Celestia. I originally wanted them to fuse and create a single soul in the end since they're genetic copies of each other. I realized that this would feel kind of sad because they both have memories and once they combine into a single being, they will remember things that they can't discuss. It would've given me a sense of loneliness and solemnity.

Celestia

Inspired by Madoka herself, Celestia is a lab-grown experiment created by Arima in order to halt Kriemhild Gretchen

Inspired by Madoka herself, Celestia is a lab-grown experiment created by Arima in order to halt Kriemhild Gretchen. She was raised to only do good.  Kriemhild didn't know anything but suffering which has turned her bitter. Celestia is her opposite. She soon realizes that Kriemhild and her are one and the same and grows hesitant to kill her sister. However, seeing what her sister is doing to everyone changed her mind, sacrificing two lives to save everyone's. Madoka kind of did the same in the anime, but instead of just dying, she turned into the embodiment of hope, and re-wrote the law of cycles, preventing Magical Girls from turning into witches.
