⤵ ii, love life!

HYUNWOO LIED.

there were still three spots left on mark's study group.

maybe he said that there was only one spot left so hani could be convinced more.

anyways, she's here. she wouldn't back up now.

hani realized, as she studied the names written hastily on the clean form and rummaged through her bag for a pen, that all of her future co-members are boys — which was a relief. she did much better having friends that are boys instead of girls, though whenever she said that she'd get weird, judgmental looks.

maybe it's a little weird, now that hani thinks about it.

when she found a pen of hers that still works, hani heard pairs of feet squeaking on the polished floor. they were growing loud as each second passed by, a sign that they're nearing her, and she immediately dropped her pen out of fear.

"zhong chenle, wait up!"

hani turned her head to find where the foreign language came from and was immediately greeted by a handsome face that almost looked like the sun itself. there were two boys walking closer to hani, one tall and the other short with curly hair, both laughing and pushing each other.

hani turned her head away, a small blush creeping up on her cheeks, and quickly picked up her fallen pen, before scribbling yoon hani and her signature at the side on the form.

"hi," a timid voice besides her said before she could make a run for it, making her wince slightly in her spot where she seemed to be permanently glued onto. hani looked up and gave the taller boy in front of her a small smile and a small bow. "we're sorry for startling you!"

"oh no, it's okay!" shrugged hani, waving her small hands around.

"hehe, you're cute!" the slightly shorter boy with the curly hair cooed, and the taller boy elbowed him on the ribs. "renjun ge, that hurts!"

"i'm sorry for him," the taller boy pointed at the boy next to him and grinned. "i'm huang renjun, by the way!"

"oh, hello," hani bowed politely, and so did renjun. "my name's yoon hani."

"i'm zhong chenle," the shorter boy with the curls introduced, and the two exchanged bows.

"did you sign up for mark hyung's english study group?"

hani looked at the bulletin board, eyed mark lee's sign-up form, and nodded. "yes, i just finished, actually. i'm guessing you two are also going to sign up as well? you should. there are only two spots left."

"aish, mark hyung is so harsh on us," chenle whined, pen in hand. he scribbled a clean jong jinrak and his signature on the form. renjun took the pen from chenle's hands and scribbled hwang injun and his own signature.

"are you close with mark lee?" hani questioned, staring at their neat handwriting and comparing her own to theirs — she realised she needed to work on her handwriting a bit.

"yup," renjun nodded. "he suggested us to join his study group because he saw our report cards for the first semester."

"nearly fainted, i think."
