I took a deep breath, the key hovering above the lock. What was behind this door would change my life forever. I was just a few mere seconds away from meeting my roommate. The person I would live with for the next four years.

Sorry if that's wrong I'm only 14 and I have absolutely no idea how long college years last for different courses sooo..... yeah
Anyway, go follow savi349. I promise she did not bribe me, this is just me being a good person. Her books are freaking adorable. Go my chirren, gooooo.

My heart was ready to take off. Not only could this person be my lifelong friend, but if I was lucky, my possible boyfriend. I had been gay my whole life, but I only came out to my father a month or two ago. I got just about what I expected from him. From the abusive, alcoholic, drug addict man that I call "dad". I've got the scars to prove it, but I'm to scared to take him to court. I remember those moments so vividly, it's like it's happening all over again. The disappointment, then the anger, and the small smile that spread across his face. The smile didn't come from love, it appeared when he saw what he did to me. Just like what he did to mom. A broken nose, multiple cuts and bruises, and two fractured ribs from his boot against my chest. I was able to afford treatment only because my best friends, the Schuyler Sisters, covered for me. My mom wasn't that lucky however. She died a few hours after the beating, leaving me alone with this monster. I might be like her, but the sisters dad is a senator, so they have plenty of money. But I was ready to put all that aside, all the hatred and abuse, the depression and pain, all away. I would put my best foot forward and start a new life. I was ready. I inserted the key ever so gently, and turned it to the left. A small click emerged from the door, and it swung open. I looked around, and saw a man with glossy dark hair, and deep chocolate eyes. He didn't seem to have noticed me, and even though this was my room to, I felt like I was intruding if I entered with Pugh making my presence clear. I cleared my throat, and he looked up right away. I saw a blur of grey and brown, and then fell to the floor.
