The metallic taste still present in my mouth was annoying and I let out a sigh as my feet hit the familiar carpet of my bedroom. I couldn't wait to get out of this poor excuse of a suit.

I stripped out of the sweaty get-up and sighed as my eyes caught sight of my reflection. I inhaled a sharp breath, trying desperately to ignore the throbbing pain in my side, caused from kicking ass and binding my chest at the same time. With great difficulty, I managed to pull my binder over my head and dropped it to the floor, the purple and yellow bruises along my sides and chest area much more prominent.

I threw on a hoodie and some sweats, anything to conceal the body I would never see as my own. It was easy to pretend I was normal when I had my normal outfit consisting of many layers, but when I'm so exposed, It's like my skin isn't mine. At least not completely.

The bed creaked under me as I sat down, a gentle sigh escaping my lips. I know what I was doing is for the greater good.. but sometimes I wish it didn't destroy my health.

Oh well. Just your average, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

The crime in the city was oddly quiet today, which means for the first time in too long, I'll get to go straight home and relax.

"Aunt May! I'm home!" I called out into the simple two-bedroom apartment, dropping my bag off by the front door. I was walking into the lounge, when I suddenly stopped, my jaw nearly hitting the floor at the sight in front of me. It was my Aunt May having tea with.. Tony Stark? THE Tony Stark?

"Peter! You're home! Mr. Stark has just informed me of the internship!" She said, her eyes holding excitement and face gleaming with pride.

Internship?

"Internship?" I questioned. My eyes glanced over at Mr.Stark and saw him looking at me, eyes slightly wide, as if saying 'Go along with it you idiot!'

"Oh- Ohh right! The internship! I completely forgot I applied to this.. internship" I said quickly, internally cursing myself out for how high my voice was. She didn't notice however, just smiled and took a sip of tea.

Mr. Stark interrupted the awkward silence by clearing his throat, "I would like to have a word with Peter in private, if that's alright", causing Aunt May to nearly joke on her tea, only managing to nod quickly.

I silently led him to my room, pinching myself under my sleeve just to make sure this was real and not in fact a dream. Ow! Yep, definitely real..

He looked around, until his eyes landing on my black widow poster, causing his eyebrow to raise. My cheeks flamed and I quickly ran over, standing in front of it. A chuckle escaped him and he made his way to my closet, opening it. My breath hitched as he picked up the bunch of fabric I considered a costume, taking a seat on my bed, causing it to creak in protest.

"Ah so this is the costume!" He held up the eye pieces of the mask to his own eyes, "How can you even see out of these?" I quickly yanked it from his hand, throwing it back into the closet. This didn't silence him though unfortunately; "So you're spider-ling. Spider-boy?"

"Spider-MAN- I mean" My eyes grew wide. Shit. "I-I mean no I don't uh- Who's that?". Told you lying wasn't my strong suit. I decided it was awkward to stand so I sat down slowly, the bed dipping from our combined weight.

His face held one of amusement and he carefully took out his smartphone, showing me a video of- you guessed it- Spider-Man saving some people from a car crash. "So this isn't you?"

I knew I was caught. I sighed, looking down at my lap and staying silent. He decided to speak up again; "Perfect! Do you have a passport?" Still sort of stunned from this whole encounter, I slowly nodded. "Great! We'll send you out to Germany first thing in the morning!"

My eyes widened. I could NOT go on a plane- not even a private one. My packer would definitely make the machine go off! Plus, I had a gender appointment tomorrow to find out when I can start my T injections!
I tried to think through a believable lie and I suddenly blurted out "I can't! I.. Have homework"

His eyebrows raised up, face showing one of amusement. "I'm going to pretend you did not just say that" he stood up and made his way to the door, "I'm sure once I explain it to your hot aunt it'll be resolved-" this sentence set off alarms in my head and I quickly stood up, shooting a web towards the door and trapping Mr.Stark's hand against my wooden door frame.

"Don't tell Aunt May" I said seriously, back straightening and my voice dropping ever so slightly. He looked impressed and I saw a small smirk gathering at his lips.

"Okay Spider-Man" he nodded. The sound of Spider-MAN coming from this respected individual made my insides flutter and I just nodded. After a few moments of painfully awkward silence, he cleared his throat. "So uh can you help me out with this?" He questioned, gesturing to his trapped hand.

My eyes widened and I quickly nodded, rushing over "Sorry!"
