░Chapter 1░

§ Angel's POV §

I woke up in the morning and quickly got ready for school. I check my phone and it's a happy birthday message from my best friend. I smile to myself. I have finally come of age to find my mate, so I am beyond excited. I decided to wear a black crop top with a floral skater skirt, topped off with black gladiators. I rush downstairs and greet my parents, who seem just as excited as me. Well, except my father. My father is the alpha of the Red Moon pack and is very protective over me, because I am the only little girl. I have 2 brothers, one older than me and one younger, who are just as protective and will hurt anything that tries to hurt me or the family.

"Are you excited, honey?" My mother asks softly.

"Of course, but what if he rejects me?" I reply glumly.

"Then I'll kick his ass." My brothers and father answer. I then feel the blush creeping up on my cheeks and run to school. Unfortunately, my brothers do not go to my school because the oldest, Nash goes to an Alpha school. The youngest, Hayes, isn't old enough for highschool yet. I quickly devour my breakfast, grab all my stuff needed for school, and sprinted out the door straight to school.

"This is it!" Your wolf screams excitedly. I walk into school and smell a delicious smell. It's an intoxicating smell. It's a fresh minty smell, with a hint of green apple. I follow the scent, adrenaline pumping in my veins. I finally stop because I bumped into something hard. A wall? No. Suddenly, I hear someone whisper, "Mate." I look up and it's...

Carter Reynolds. School's most popular guy. Jerk. He thinks he's all that just cause he's Vine famous.

Why is he my mate? Of all the damn boys in the world... Him?!

"Hey, babe." He smirks at me. I groan in disgust and walk past him. He's just bad news.. And I don't know, but damn. He's hot and I can't deny that.

"Why'd you just walk past him?!" My wolf screeched at me.

"You know exactly why. He's just gonna hurt us." Then my wolf stop talking. Okay then. I quickly rush to my locker and bump into my best friend, Alyssa.

"Yooo. You excited for your mate today? Oh, and happy birthday again." She says enthusiastically. I immediately hush her and tell her everything that just happened.

"No. Fricking. Way. Carter Reynolds?! That douche that's famous on Vine!" She freaks out.

"Yes, now shut up cause we have to go to class." Then I drag her down the hallway to our first period, Math. The whole class was boring and I tuned out the teacher, but before I knew it, the bell rang. Alyssa has every class with me because she begged the counselor for us to be together, but we had a different elective.

Our second period was our elective period, so I said my farewells to Alyssa and walked to class. On my way to class, someone grabs me and pulls me into an empty classroom. Oh my god this is how I'm gonna die. I start to freak out, but then i smell the sweet scent that makes my stomach flutter. Carter.

"H-h-hi." I stutter since he had me pinned against the wall. He chuckles, which sends shivers down my spine.

"Hello gorgeous." He smiles at me. Snap out of it. He's no good. I quickly move his arms so I am no longer trapped.

"What are you doing!" I yell at him. He quickly shuts me up by kissing me full on the lips. He licks my bottom lip, begging for an entrance which I decline. He stops kissing me, "Let me in."

"Nope." I tease him. That was my first kiss and i felt fireworks exploding and butterflies fluttering. He growls and kisses me roughly again and bites my bottom lip, making me gasp. Giving him the time to slip his tongue in and winning dominance against mine. He groans and I feel a hard bulge against my thigh. I immediately blush.
