I sat in my bed, watching a movie and propping my knee up. I completely shredded my acl and some tendons, along with shattering my knee cap at a soccer game. So now I'm done with soccer. Permanently. It sucks. I had emergency surgery, which included a knee replacement and ACL reconstruction, which was two weeks ago, and now I have a weird brace thing, over my bandages, that goes all the way up and down my leg. Its supposed to keep everything from moving and reverting. I'm so ready to get it off. But I'm going to be in it for a long time. I have to use crutches for awhile, and I have to go to physical therapy later on. I did a lot of rehabilitation the first few days after my surgery just so I could get used to it. But after it's fully healed, I have to do a lot of PT. It sucks. There was a knock on my door and I shouted Come In. Regina came in and smiled a little at me. "Hey baby.. how are you doing?" She asked and i sighed. "I'm bored." I said and she chuckled. "I figured. That's why I was wondering if you'd want to go with me to my parents house for thanksgiving. I'm going down today and I'll come back in a few days." She said and i nodded excitedly. "Yes. Please take me with you." I said and she chuckled. "Okay. I'll pack a bag for you?" She asked and i shook my head. "You can help but I need to move a bit." I said and she nodded. I got up and she handed me my crutches. "Actually can you? I'll move around. But packing will be hard." I said and she nodded. "Of course babe." She said and started packing stuff for me. I started walking around my room with the help of my crutches. "Are your parents going to like me?" I asked and she sighed. "I don't know. This is how I'm going to come out to them. We'll see." She said and i nodded. "Okay babe. I got everything you'll need. I have toiletries and stuff there already." She said and i nodded. "I'll carry it. Let's go?" She asked and i nodded again. She helped me put my shoes on, then I grabbed my phone, keys and wallet. She smiled at me. "Let's go baby." She said and i smiled before we left. Ruby and Belle already went home. We left the dorm and I locked up, then we slowly went down the stairs. I had to stop halfway down the second flight to rest. "You're doing great babe." She said and i nodded a little. It didn't feel like it. It hurts. I took a breath before we started again and when we got to the last step, I felt like I was going to die from pain. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. "You okay?" She asked and i nodded. "I just.. it hurts. The steps are a lot." I said and she frowned. "I'm sorry baby." She said and i shrugged. "it'll get better." I said and she nodded a little. We went to her car and she helped me in, then put my bag in the backseat with hers. She also put my crutches back there and i leaned back in my seat. She got in on her side and smiled. "I'm so happy you wanted to come." She said and i smiled. "I'm so happy you wanted me to come." I said and she giggled.

After a few hours, we pulled up at a huge white mansion. I swallowed heavily as she got out. She came around and got my crutches from the back, then opened my door and helped me out. I thanked her and she got our bags from the backseat. We walked up to the front door and she knocked. After a few minutes, the front door was pulled open by an older brunette who smiled brightly at us. "Regina!" She shouted and pulled Regina into a tight hug. Regina smiled. "Hey mom." She said and then her mom pulled out of the hug. "Who's this?" She asked and looked at me. "This is Emma. My girlfriend." Regina said and the brunette smiled brightly. "Hello Emma. It's so nice to meet you. I'm cora, Regina's mother." She said and i smiled. "You too." I said and she stepped aside. "Come in, come in. Emma should get off her feet." Cora said and i blushed but we went in. "Go on to the living room with Emma, mother. I'll take these bags up." Regina said and her mother led me to the living room. I bit my lip seeing a curly headed boy and Kathryn Nolan sitting in there already. Then an older man. "Henry, Kat, Jeff, this is Emma. She's Regina's girlfriend." Cora said and Kathryn, or Kat, smiled at me. "Oh good. Regina finally felt comfortable enough to be herself." The older man said. "Wait. You knew she was gay?" I asked and they all simultaneously said yes. "What?" Regina asked as she Came in the room and i looked at her. She helped me sit on the couch and sat beside me. "Sweetheart. You're our daughter. Of course we knew." The older man said and Kat smiled. "Yeah and you're my best friend." She said. The curly headed boy hummed. "You knew i was gay. I have the best gay-dar." He said and she rolled her eyes. "Oh shut up Jeff you do not." She said and he chuckled. "So Emma, what happened to your knee?" Her dad asked. Wow. They took that well. I sighed. "Emma got trampled at our soccer game." Kat said and i nodded. "Yeah. I had to have a knee replacement and ACL reconstruction." I said and he frowned. "I'm sorry. I know that probably hurt." He said and i nodded. "It did. A lot." I said and Regina grabbed my hand. "I was so scared. Her leg was covered in blood and she was screaming so Loud. They ended the game immediately, then she was rushed into an ambulance. I didn't know what was happening." Regina said and i squeezed her hand. "Oh man Regina looked like she had seen a ghost. She couldn't even drive to the hospital. I took her." Kat said. I hummed. "Well I passed out from pain. When I woke up, I was already in recovery from surgery and Regina witnessed me having a breakdown because the rehabilitation was too hard. So I think we're pretty close now." I said and Cora chuckled. "Good. Because this is the happiest I have ever seen my sweet daughter."
