I take a moment of peace with myself after a long day,
The chilled weather, the cold night and the scattered stars
In my blurry vision tonight.
Peace, calm and serenity flows within me,
From the channels of mind to the chambers of heart.
I can feel the caress of the cold blowing wind on my cheeks.
Flushed red.
Memories of you never leave my mind.
Tonight, I feel the need of you beside me,
More than I ever did.
Maybe more than I'll ever feel,
But certainly not.
Tonight,
It's you and I.
I have
An insatiable desire to hold you.
A never ending yearn for your arms.
I feel the blue,
For I cannot hold you anymore.
Not with a thousand miles between us.

Thousand Miles is for every couple in long distance relationship. Being in love and having distance to separate the lovers brings its own set of perks and perils. Long Distance Relationships can be beautiful, with letters and modern day Skype, the excitement to see your lover after a long day's work; it's all beautiful. However, sometimes you want to hold her, look into her eyes and say that the dress she's wearing looks more elegant on them than the model on Vogue magazine, you want to lie on the couch with her, cuddling and watching her favourite romantic movie and whispering in her ears some cheesy lines;but the miles won't let you.
Only memories help.
