He stepped into the closet, the door closing behind him, trapping him in the small room.
The closet was repurposed into a mini recording area.
The microphone, lyric sheet, a pair of headphones, and a dim lamp the only things in that room with him.
He slipped the headphones over his ears, the soft music flooding into his head.
The music suddenly stops and a voice speaks.
"Okay Jungkook, sing the lyrics that I highlighted" Namjoon says loud enough for Jungkook to hear.
Jungkook nodded although he knew Namjoon couldn't see him.
The music starts and Jungkook waits a couple seconds before singing.
"The long night is following you as it flows"
He pauses reading the lyrics that weren't highlighted waiting for his part once again.
The songs beat picks up and Jungkook starts singing once again.
"Love is so painful, yeah, goodbyes are even more painful"
The song continues on and he sings the last part of the chorus.
"come back to my arms"
The music stops and Jungkook prays that his singing was decent.
The closet door opens to reveal Hoseok with glossy eyes.
Was my singing so bad that he cried? Jungkook thought to himself.
Hoseok sniffles then hugs Jungkook.
"T-that was b-beautiful" Hoseok stuttered trying to hide a sob.
Taehyung then came up behind Jungkook and back hugged him.
Then Namjoon joined in the group hug.
Yoongi stared from the corner of the room, he was shocked from Jungkook's angelic voice.
The room was silent and the three boys still hugged onto Jungkook.
The room remained silent until there was a sniffle heard from the corner of the room, reminding them that Yoongi was still here.
"You even got the big toughie crying!" Hoseok broke the hug pointing over at Yoongi who indeed had a single tear going down his cheek.
Starting to get overwhelmed Jungkook looked for an excuse not to be the center of attention.
"I have to use the restroom" Jungkook said and proceeded to walk to the door.
"Don't be long" Hoseok wiped his tears with his sleeve.
Maybe they were over reacting, or maybe Jungkook's voice was indeed oh so beautiful.
