Chapter 3

After Dinner was presents.

"PRESENT TIME!!!" TJ screamed. I got TJ a locket with a picture of Josh inside. He opened it and asked "who is this daddy?"

"That's daddy in the sky." I told him thinking of the day that the surrogate gave birth.

"I love it I've always wanted to know what my other daddy looked like!"

Grace and Mike got him a small popcorn machine. TJ loves popcorn.

Alex got him a bear that had a name tag that said Teddy TJ.

Jackson gave him a kiss on the cheek TJ's face got redder than a tomato. It was adorable.

Time Pass

I was helping cleaning up when Ryan pulled me his room.

"What do you want?" I asked him.

"Kiss me." He said.

"No!" He crashed his lips to mine and pinned me against the wall I just stood there. He licked my lips and that's when I pushed him off.

"I don't like you I got over you and dated Josh Hanson. We got married right before the takeover, when I was eighteen. When I was twenty the surrogate gave birth to TJ. When I was twenty one Josh was shot and we moved down here. I am twenty four but I will always hate you for you did to me!" I yelled and stormed out of the room. Everyone was looking at me.

"TJ grab your presents we are leaving!" I told him he ran up to me with a bag that had his presents in it and grabbed my hand. We walked back to our house and I put TJ to bed.

NEXT DAY

"So Allison has it gotten any better up there?" I asked Allison as I sat down with coffee.

"No actually. They started executions. Anyone found living in under ground settlements will have there death broadcasted through out the entire country." She told me.

"Promise me that if we get discovered you will take TJ and get him registered as a higher. If we do get discovered I will try to escape and come find you." I told her.

"Okay. I promise." Allison said to me.

"We're home!" Alex called through the house. TJ and Alex walked into the kitchen. Along with the teddy bear, Alex promised she would take TJ to the shopping settlement.

TJ had on fun sunglasses and had a bag in his hand

"I got a video camera! And a tree!" He said putting the potted plant on the table next to the brand new camera.

"That tree needs lots of sunlight TJ remember that." Alex told him.

"Yea! Daddy, Can Jackson come over?" He asked me.

"I'll message Aunt Grace" I said going to the message tablet

'TJ would like Jackson to come over, Is that okay?'

'Can he come here?'

"TJ do you want to go to Jackson's instead?"

"Sure" he said.

'He said yea we will walk over there'

'Okay bring the girls let's go out for dinner Mike can watch the kids'

'K see ya in a few.'

"We are going out to dinner after we drop TJ off" I told Alex and Allison.

Time Pass to Dinner

"What was that last night?" Grace asked.

"What was what?" I said confused.

"You yelled at Ryan explaining your love story!" Allison exclaimed.

"Don't tell him I told you this but he kissed me," I told them. "I pushed him off and then I started yelling at him."

"OH MY GOSH!" Allison yelled.

"The last time he kissed me was when I was 16 which was eight years ago." I said.

"He still likes you ya know. Mike says he never got over you." Grace said to me.

"Oh. Well I like to think that if he hadn't broken my heart I would've never gotten TJ" I said.

"So do you like him?" Alex asked.

"I think I've always had a special place left in my heart for him."
