Mike-

"Yo man where've you been?" Cooper asks me as I jump in his blue truck.

"Overslept dude." I say rubbing my eyes. This morning was all a blur. I so should not have stayed up till three last night playing black ops.

"Mike, you cant do that. We have basketball practice today. And coach will literally kill you if you arent awake. Let me guess, did you have a date with you're XBox last night?" Cooper asks grinning at his own cheesy joke.

"You know it." I reply.

My best friend knew me to well.

"Alright we have like only ten minuted to meet the guys before homeroom. Thanks a lot." Cooper says.

"Aw, man its not like you have never slept in. Just turn on the radio and sing a long." I say. Thats what we always say when we dont want to finish a topic.

I know the other guys will be mad that we didnt meet them this morning. They hate it when were late on Fridays cause we want to discuss strategy for practice this afternoon. Oh well, looks like they'll have to deal with it.

We get to school and make it just before the bell rings. My teammates look at me from across the parking lot.

I throw up my hands in surrender and they walk over.

"Before you say ANYTHING!" I say looking at all of their mad faces.

"I brought you a white flag." I joke and pull out a box of family size twinkies.

They lunge forward like its the last piece of meat and theire the pack of lions.

I always come prepared, I think to myself.

No wonder I'm team captain.

We walk into school and go our seperate ways. Before I reach my homeroom I am rammed into something and stumble backwards.

I look up to see Kylie Rogers looking down at me.

"S-s-sorry." She stammers. "I wasn't looking where I was going."

Can you believe this girl? She needs to learn from her mistakes.

"Well next time," I sneer, I know I was being mean, but she deserved it. I'm about to be late. "Watch where you're going." I spat angrily.

Then everything in Kylies facial features changed. She went from looking apologetically, to angry.

If looks could kill, I would be dead.

"And next time," She sneers back at me. "Dont be such a jerk."

Right then the late bell rang. Dang it. I thought I might actually make it today.

"Looks like we have to get a pass." I sigh about to turn around to go to the office. But then Kylie shoves my shoulder, hard, I might add, and puts her hand on the door handle.

"Not today." she smirks.

Then she opens the door and puts her hand over her stomach and walks in slowly.

"Mr. Cambell," she calls out warily, "Sorry I'm late. I felt a little sick so I was in the bathroom. I thought I was going to throw up. But I'm feeling a little better now." She adds.

What the-? I think. He'll never fall for that.

"Well I'm glad you're feeling better. Take a seat  and after class why dont you go get some water." Mr. Cambell thinks.

"Ok thank you." Kylie says.

I cant believe it. It worked.

Thats when Mr. Cambell sees me standing outside the door.

"Mr. Jacobs," Mr. Campbell starts, "You're late. Please go to the office and get a pass."

Then he closes the door.

This Kylie girl...

Boy was she something.
