Raina slipped her hood on as she walked into a nearby village. Raina would often go to the town whenever she grew bored or was left alone when Regina left the Castle to demonstrate her rule or to look for Snow White, which was pretty often. True, she had to avoid Regina's black knights that were left behind to keep everyone in line, but other than that, she still enjoyed her time in the village as much as she enjoyed her time with Regina.
"You there! halt!" A black knight bellowed, which caused Raina's attention to see a black knight grabbing the arm a young boy's arm and throwing him onto the ground. "Thievery is a heavy crime, boy."
"You've got the wrong guy, I swear," The boy remarked, trying to break free from the knight's grasp, only causing the knight to put his hand in the pocket and pull out a small sack of jewels with an amulet sticking out of it that caused Raina to gasp recognizing the charm but more importantly the boy.
"And where you'd get this?..." The Knight sneered
"I'll have you know that I'm holding this for a friend," The boy snapped, still trying to break free from the tight grasp.
"I don't see anyone here... I think you stole it" The knight shot back before throwing the boy on the ground and pulling out his sword. "And you know the queen's law for stealing-"
"Stop! It's mine!" Raina exclaimed, jumping in front of the knight before throwing his sword down. "I was on my way to meet him, but I had lost my way...no stealing here..."
The knight looked at both of them with a very skeptical look. It was clear that the knight realized who she was. She silently hoped that he wouldn't make a scene or drag her to Regina. She had seen Regina mad, and it wasn't pretty. "...Fine...don't let me see you again, boy," The Knight remarked before looking at Raina. "And you...don't make any stupid mistakes that you might regret."
"Well, he's certainly what you call a stick in a mud," The boy remarked with a laugh "...Thanks for stepping in, Raina...it's been a long time, hasn't it?"
Raina shook her head with a small laugh. "Louis, still getting into trouble, I see" Raina had met Louis growing up at the inn. He was Martha's son, the same age as Raina. The two were the best of friends up until the day Raina left. "...I'm surprised to see you so far out here...where's your mother?"
"Oh, mum? she's Still at the inn" Louis answered, "... I kinda left after well...Her and Malcolm married"(AN: No, this Malcolm is not Peter Pan. This is an entirely different person since by this point that Malcolm is already Peter Pan)
Raina's eyes widened at this. "No...you're kidding. I knew they were close..but not that close," Raina remarked. "Too bad I wasn't there...it is good to see you again... I'm sorry I left without saying goodbye before."
"It's okay...I knew sooner or later you would leave, especially with how my mum treated you," Louis assured her.
Before Raina could say anything else, another voice called out as a girl around the same age as Raina approached the two. "Louis, there you are. It's getting late. we should be heading back soon."
"I know, I know," Louis said with a small sigh "Rai, this is Adira. I've been staying with her and her aunt ever since I left my mum's inn."
"Oh, so you're the girl Louis been telling me about," Adira said with a slight smirk. "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you finally...Louis told me a lot about you. Don't worry, all good things."
"Well, good, I'm glad," Raina said with a small smile, trying to hide the fact that she was blushing just bells started to ring in the distance, signaling sunset. "Oh my...I didn't realize how late it was...I should be getting back."
"You sure?... We were going to have dinner," Louis stated. "Why don't you join us for dinner?"
"Yeah...my Aunt won't mind," Adira chimed, giving her a small smile
Raina was hesitant for a moment. Though she wasn't under any orders from Regina, she was still a bit worried. Would Regina freak out if she wasn't back soon...no Regina would understand. She had to. "Alright, I don't see why not "
"Great, come on right this way" Louis smiled softly, taking Raina's hand and leading her to where he stayed with Adira
.

Later that night, Raina made her way back to the Castle. While spending time with Luis and Adira, She found herself with two best friends. Something she hadn't had in a long time."You're out a bit late, aren't you?" A voice called out to her, pulling her from her thoughts.
"Huntsman..." Raina let out a small sigh of relief. Relieved it wasn't a Black Knight. "I would have come back sooner, but I was with some friends...Let me guess, Regina sent you out looking for me."
"Yes, and we should get back before she sends all of her knights looking for you" The Huntsman said with a slight nod before leading Raina back into the Castle.
"Raina! There you are," Regina said as Raina entered the throne room. "You had me worried sick."
"I'm sorry... I didn't think me being gone for so long would have bothered you... I mean, you were gone looking for Snow White again," Raina stated with an apologetic look, "and well... I guess I was kind of bored."
Regina was hesitant for a moment. "Well... I suppose I never restricted you to stay inside the Castle... be sure to let one of my knights know or the Huntsman know when you leave," she said before noticing the new necklace around Raina's neck. "Where did you get that?"
"Oh, this?... an old friend gave it to me...kind of a late birthday present," Raina answered with a small smile. It was clear to Regina that whoever gave Raina this necklace meant a lot to her.
"Well, it looks lovely," Regina said with a small smile. "Now, why don't you go get some rest? I'm sure you've had a long day."
"You know that's the first time someone commented on Snow White, and you didn't get angry," The Huntsman remarked once Raina left the room. "You always act differently around her."
"I don't recall giving you permission to speak," Regina stated.
"Forgive me, your majesty. I was merely commenting on the fact that Raina brings out of the side of you that I never saw before...What's so special about her"
Regina sighed a little before turning to the Huntsman. "If I tell you, you can't tell anyone" The Huntsman only nodded. "Raina's special because she's my daughter."
AN: Hiiiiiiiii wow, okay, it's been a while since I last updated. I'm so sorry 😩😩😩😩 life got crazy, and I got uninspired with this story for a time. But now I'm back!! I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
We met some new characters, which we will see again. And we also saw Graham, aka the Huntsman! He will be making appearances in the future, especially in Storybrooke.
Speaking of Storybrooke, we will be going there soon! Yes, I did a lot of planning, and The big curse will be coming within a few chapters. Also, I should add that this book will probably end at the Season one finale. BUT don't worry, I plan to make a sequel to this! So stay tuned for that.
Okay! I'll see you guys in the next update. Feel free to leave any predictions you may have and what you think of Louis and Adira so far!
Kk bye!
