In 20 minutes, Shawn's picking me up to go to our date. Guess who's freaking the fuck out right now? What am I going to wear? What if he gets bored? What if something bad happens?

"MOM! WHERE'S MY LEATHER JACKET?" I shout as I finally decide on what to wear.

"IT'S IN YOUR CLOSET, IN THE BACK!" She yells back from the kitchen.

I look for it for the fourth time and there it is. My favourite jacket. I had to impress Shawn somehow. I mean, the few times we've been together, I've been either sleepy as fuck, unconscious or drunk so I need to make the most of it.

"Wow, you look really good" Blair says, leaning on my door frame. "I just can't believe he asked you out! I didn't even know he liked guys, this is insane!"

Just as Blair left to go to the kitchen to help my mother with dinner, I got a text from Shawn:

"The car is already outside your house. I'm sorry I couldn't pick you up myself, but I had some stuff to do *sad emoji* I can't wait to see you again, I already miss you *heart emoji*"

My heart started racing. I grabbed my keys, my phone and my wallet and made my way downstairs to say my goodbyes.

"I can't believe you're going out on a date! And with a boy!" My mom said, hugging me. "I'm so proud of you!"

"Just don't be back so late, will you?" My dad said, punching my shoulder softly.

"Bye guys!" I said walking out and closing the door. I looked around for the car that was supposedly outside but there was nothing, when suddenly a fucking limo appears and stops right in front of me.

"Are you JJ Roberts?" The driver asks.

"Yeah, why?" I ask, confused.

"I'm Stuart, Mr. Mendes' driver! Please get in" He said, smiling. He looked really nice and polite. "Oh, and Mr. Mendes left you a gift so be sure to open it. He bought it himself!"

As soon as I got in, we left towards an unknown destination, cause obviously Shawn didn't even tell me where we were going. The limo was huge, it even had a little television. I sat right behind the drives seat cause you know, it's the safest seat and stuff. I looked around a bit more and then I saw a gift, very poorly wrapped in gift wrap.

"Aww, he even wrapped it by himself" I thought. How cute is that.

I opened it and it was this beautiful silver watch. I took it out of it's case and tried it on. It fitted perfectly.

"I can't accept this, it's too much" I said.

I took it off and looked at the back. It was engraved but I couldn't really read it cause the limo was really dark, so I left the watch aside, took out my phone from my pocket, turned on the flashlight and picked the watch up again.

'To JJ, may our paths keep crossing. -SM'

Wow, he outdid himself this time. I couldn't say no to this, I mean, it has my name on it! That's crazy! I put the watch on my right wrist and admired it, smiling to myself. The limo suddenly stopped and Stuart got off the car, only to open the door for me to get off.

"We're here sir! Have a nice evening!" Stuart said smiling. He hoped on the limo and left.

"You too, sir" I said, as I saw the limo disappear in the distance. I turned around only to realize I was standing outside the most expensive restaurant in town. We only came here once for my parents anniversary and we had to order one thing for everyone to share cause everything was really pricey. A shadow moved inside the restaurant, making his o her way towards the entrance door and opening it, turning out to be a waitress.
