I was coming home from a good, successful day at work. I was only a fast food worker downtown from my apartment I shared with the person I was dating  in New York. After I told my parents my sexuality, they had kicked me out. Then I met them. Paper was non-binary, and the sweetest thing I'd ever met. We split the cost for the apartment and moved in together only a few weeks before I came home to th most horrific sight I had ever seen.

"Hey Paper, how was-!" I stopped mid-sentence. Paper was cut apart on the floor. I rushed over immediately.

"Paper! Oh my gosh, Paper what happened to you?!" I checked to make sure they were still breathing.

"I'm sorry... Rock..." they smiled sadly and died in my arms. My tears dampened Paper's skin.

"No... no this can't be happening! This can't... I don't want to lose you!" I screamed angrily. I could believe it. The love of my life... gone. Then, I felt the familiar feeling of someone watching me. I was paralyzed with fear. We're they going to murder me too? What was going to happen to us once we were dead? Who murdered Paper? I turned around slowly, still holding Paper's lifeless body. I looked up at the murderer, their blades covered in Paper's blood. I froze.

"Hello, Rock" Scissors said, smiling sweetly at me.
