We all wish for something. We all want something. Most people wish to be smart, or to be pretty, or to be popular. I was all of those things. But that meant staying up till 4 am to study. You've been studying all week but you have to make sure you get an A+. And if you get a B, you know that you'll disappoint yourself and everyone around you. Your parents will think less of you. Your friends will think your dumb, and the teachers will take it easier on you.

This also meant spending $700 on makeup by age 14.Waking up two hours early so you you can spend time time on your hair and makeup to make sure its perfect. Having a strict diet so you can maintain the stereotypical, perfect body. You have a scale in your room so you can make sure you stay under 100 pounds.

With this comes popularity. Being smart and objectively beautiful you become the talk of the school. The popular kids invite you sit at their table. Of course you do, this is your dream. Then they ask you to be mean. You don't like it, but you do as your told. "Starving myself must pay off" you tell yourself. You make fun of your old best friend calling her ugly and stupid. You make her cry. You laugh, though your eyes get teary.  "Whats wrong with you? Why are you being so mean?" They cry

"Because I need to be." You reply, and before the tears start falling down your cheeks you leave, turn your back to your true friend. You know you'll regret it.

That when you first see her. She short, and has long blond hair, her eyes are an ice blue, wearing a nice dress, she gives you a sad smile and shakes her head. Then, shes gone, fades away like yourself
