It's raining and not just a little bit, but a lot

The people around me is hiding under hoods and umbrellas

I'm not because I need the hood on my jacket to protect my computer in my backpack

My glasses are in my left pocket, so my vision is blurred

I reach the parking lot at my school and slow down

With music flowing towards me from my headset I tilt back my head

With closed eyes I can feel the rain drops landing on my face

The water is cold and sends shivers down my spine

But in the cold I find peace in the rhythmic the raindrops lands on my face

For a short time, I let myself feel the raindrops instead of rushing inside

I feel at peace, a sense of peace I haven't felt for so long

Out here in the rain don't have to hide
