*A few weeks later*
*Jeno's POV*
The last step is here, I guess. Daeun told me that she would set up some trap for Chaerin, a trap she wouldn't be able to escape from. All I have to do is calling Jaemin and telling him that we want to hang out with him, Jungwoo and Chaerin. Mark hyung kindly refused to participate in this since he told us that he's not really involved in this complicated situation, and he doesn't want to make it worse. No matter what, we respect his decision.

"Jaemin-ah..." I call Jaemin's name softly.

"Oh, Jeno-ah. What's the matter?" Jaemin sounds a bit surprised due to my unexpected call.

"The semester's over. Daeun wants us to hang out with her and Jungwoo hyung, her cousin. You still remember him, right?" I begin asking him.

"Oh, Jungwoo hyung? Of course I remember him. He's so nice and friendly. Cool... Let's go... But, let me ask Chaerin first. I'll call you back soon." Jaemin abruptly hangs up so that he can call Chaerin to come with us, it seems.

Great, everything's going well according to our plan. Let's see if she would go with Jaemin or Jungwoo hyung since we asked Jungwoo to call her and ask her to go out at the same time as Jaemin.

*Meanwhile, Jungwoo's POV*
Daeun told me to ask Chaerin if she wants to hang out with us, at the same time as Jeno asks Jaemin. Let's see how it turns out.

"Hey, Chaerin." I pretend to call her name excitedly.

"Oh, oppa. I miss you. What's wrong? You miss me too, right?" She giggles and asks me cutely. She really doesn't know what's coming at her.

After knowing everything, hearing her like this makes me want to puke. I'm trying my best to act normal. Geez, how would Jaemin feel when he finds out? I'm glad I got out of this early.

"Of course, I do. That's why I'm calling to ask you if you want to go on a date with me tomorrow? What do you think? Are you free?" I can't believe I'm actually lying to someone. I rarely do this.

"Aww, how sweet of you. Of course, I'm free. What time should we go?" She squeals with her fake happiness at my request. Nothing new to her, I guess.

"Around 5 in the evening. But I can't pick you up. My car broke. Can you come by yourself?" I continue lying. My car is as good as new.

"Ohh, sure. No worry." She sighs with disappointment. As expected.

"I'm sorry. Anyways, I gotta go. See you later." I can't do this anymore so I just hang up.

"See you, oppa. Mwah..." She lets out kissing sound and hangs up.

Cringy af. Anyways, mission success.

*A few minutes later*
*Jeno's POV*
I've been waiting for Jaemin's call for a while now. It takes longer than I thought. I wonder what Chaerin's response is.

Suddenly, my phone rings. I pick it up and see Jaemin's name on it. Here we go.

"Jaemin, is everything okay?" I'm worried sick about him so this question slips off my tongue unconsciously.

"Hmm... She said she would be busy tomorrow. I guess we will have to go without her." Jaemin sighs and speaks in low tone. He sounds really disappointed.

Bingo!! She must have agreed to go with Jungwoo hyung. I feel so bad for Jaemin but everything will go back to normal soon. Hang in there, Jaemin-ah.
