Chapter 1

"Yay, I love you" Ashton said when he saw Calum walk into the office with two coffees.

"I love you too" Calum said. Ashton looked at him funny

"Not you stupid, I was talking to the coffee" he said taking one.

Calum huffed and took a seat in front of Ashton's desk and took a sip of his coffee.

"What's on the list of things to do today?" Ashton asked not looking up from his computer. Calum pulled out his phone to check his reminder.

"Uh, not much we have a meeting at 11 about some marketing stuff, then at 1 you have a meeting with Development Department." Calum said then slowly got up, trying to make his way to the door.

"Don't even try, sit down." Ashton said. Calum sighed making his way back over to the chair.

"We both know that I'm not the only one suppose to go to the second meeting." Ashton smirked at him.

"Come on Ash, cover for me or something." Calum begged.

"I can't this will be like the fifth time this month you didn't go to a meeting with the Development Department."

It's not that Calum had a problem with the Development Department, it's just that he will be there and every time Calum saw him, he may or may not want to punch him in the face.

"But Hemmings will be there" he complained.

"No shit, I mean why would the head of the department be there?" Ashton said sarcastically. Calum glared at him, "it's not funny Ashton."

"I know, I'm sorry come here" Ashton pushed his chair back and held out his arms. Calum pouted but walked around the desk and sat on his lap wrapping his arms around Ashton's neck.

"I know you hate him but the meeting is only an hour, you think you can put off your hated for him that long. For me Cal."

Calum sighed but nodded, "For you."

"Awe, cuddles without me, I'm hurt guys I thought we had something special."

They laughed, "hi Niall."

Calum got up from Ashton and sat back in the chair. Niall walked over to Calum and dropped right down on his lap.

"Fuck Niall, you may be skinny but your not light" Calum groaned.

"Shush Calum, hold your master and be quiet" Niall said causing Ashton to burst out laughing. Calum didn't even try fighting him because he knew it was a lost cause.

"Anyway, I came to tell you that your 11am meeting was canceled." Niall said.

"Great more time for me then" Ashton said.

"Eww Ashton, I'm sure there's a rule that you're not allowed to wank during office hours" Niall laughed. Calum choked a little on the coffee he was sipping.

"What? That's not what I meant...you know what, you're fired."

Niall got up, " I give it 5 minutes before you call my sexy arse back," he said before walking out.

"JACK, YOU FUCKER STOP CARESSING ME"

"ALL I DID WAS SLAP YOUR DICK, YOU SHOULD BE GRATEFUL YOU'RE GETTING MY ATTENTION"

"We need new staff" Ashton grumbled causing Calum to laugh.

"I'm glad you find this funny."

Calum shrugged, "you know you would never replace us."

It was 1pm and the Development and Marketing Departments were all gathered around the large table discussing business. The only problem was that Calum couldn't focus because Luke sat across from him and kept staring at him.

Calum was writing down some notes when a paper was slid his way. He looked up and saw Luke gesturing to take the paper.

He sighed and took the paper, it read How are you?

He rolled his eyes and wrote, I'll be happy as SpongeBob once I get away from you, and pushed it towards Luke.

A few seconds later, the paper was back and it read, harsh much.

Calum looked at him then furiously wrote, well Hemmings, being embarrassed in front of staff is harsh but that didn't stop you, so do me a favor and shove this paper up your ass, then pushed it to Luke.

Calum didn't get anymore papers during the meeting which made him feel satisfaction that he got Luke to leave him alone.

Not for long though because when him and Ashton were walking down the hall he heard a voice, "Calum wait."

Calum groaned, "Ignore and walk faster Ash."

They made it to the open elevator just in time but Calum was pulled back just before the door closed.

"Fuck. What do you want Hemmings?"

"I wanted to talk to you" Luke said.

"Ugh, fine talk just let go of me" Luke released his grip on him.

"Are you going to the annual company retreat this year?" Luke asked.

"I don't know and if I was why would I tell you, we're not friends" Calum snapped not noticing the slight hurt in Luke's eyes, which he quickly covered up.

"Just wanted to know, boss wanted a count of how many people where going, so they could know how many cabins to rent."

"Oh well, I'll just tell him myself" Calum said flatly, Luke nodded. They stood there just awkwardly starting at each other

"Are we done here?" Calum blurted out.

"Uh yea." Calum nodded and turned towards the elevator pressing the button.

Calum walked into Ashton's office, "thanks for leaving me with that prick, very considerate."

Ashton stopped his conversation with Jack and Niall and looked towards him.

"The elevator closed, there's was nothing I could do. What did he want anyway?"

"To know if I was going on the annual retreat" Calum said taking a seat on the couch in the corner.

"Really, I thought he would profess his dying love for you" Ashton joked.

"Eat bricks"

"Come on Cal, we all know he wants you" Niall said, Jack nodding in agreement.

"No, he just likes playing with people's emotions." Calum spat.

Ashton sighed, "let's go out, we don't have any other meetings today." He was hoping it would calm Calum down and get his mind off things. They all nodded.

"You're buying right, because food may be good but its expensive" Niall said.

"Maybe if you didn't order the whole fucking menu, it wouldn't be expensive fatass" Jack said.

"Whatever, let's just go." Ashton said.
