Chapter 2 : Survivor's Guilt

Arathor and several paladins were on a scouting mission in what would be known as the plaguelands years later, when he received a dire message from his family in Quel'Thalas during the third war.
They were begging him to return to Quel'thalas to help fend off the scourge invasion.
Arathor rushed back to Quel'thalas, yet he was late.He returned to his homeland only to find it destroyed and in chaos.
He rushed to fairbreeze village, only to find his family dead and several survivors escaping it.
Enraged, he stopped the undead farstriders attacking the survivors.
Victorious,he fell on the floor in tears.All his faith in the light,all his services and help to protect his people were for naught.
It was then that Arathor started to feel guilty for living.

Hatred and regret filled his heart with dark desires,yet his faith didn't falter.
He would become a beacon of light against the undead.
He would join the scarlet crusade willingly and end up as the only uncorrupted member in the most fanatical organization on Azeroth.
Arathor Summerhope was broken inside,yet the light would never leave him, and he would protect people until his dying breath.
