'The Special Nurse' Nursery Rhyme

The Special Nurse

An ordinary hospital ward contained a special nurse,

They operated each day making good of their curse,

It attracted the attention of hospital staff and the press,

The Witch-Doctor-Nurse Is One Of The Best.

She could enter another's body, no matter the size,

Understand their illness and empathise,

By this point in time, she is most wise,

Give her two seconds of her closing her eyes,

That is all it takes, I'm telling you no lies.

So, the special nurse was called in to assist,

Asked to provide an answer for the patient using her gift,

She held the patient's hand and closed her eyes,

Entered their soul, and seaked out the answers why.

She stumbled a little, and looked a little queasy,

The rest of the hospital staff didn't look too busy,

Then all of a sudden she stood firm on her feet:

'They're suffering from a rare case of meningitis.'

The next day the doctor was making small talk,

'Sir, do you have kids and what is your job?'

The patient sat up and let out a cough,

'What is the matter? You sound a little rough!'

The patient never had a cough yesterday,

So they called on the special nurse, 'hey, hey, hey!'

'This patient today has a wheezy throat',

'May you have a look and tell me what you thought?'

The special nurse agreed and put her arm on the patient's shoulder,

She got weak on her feet and kind of hunched over,

Then she let go, and gradually looked bolder.

'It appears the patient is simply getting older.'

The bed the next day had a crowd gathered around,

'Why is sir not making a sound?'

'Special nurse, may you make sure he's okay?'

'By using your gift and your own special way?'

Special nurse looked a little apprehensive,

But held the patient's hand and concentrated.

She closed her eyes and fell to the ground,

Now it was her not making a sound.

Two seconds had passed and then a third,

She still lay there next to sir.

All the ordinary nurses puzzled and scratched,

'It seems like the patient may have already passed.'
