Max's point of view
Alex is leaving today.
In like, five minutes actually.
"You'll be fine, Max." He assures me, caressing my cheek softly.
"Promise?" I whisper and he leans in to put his forehead against mine.
"Promise." He says and I sigh
I lean in, pressing our lips together for the last time in God knows how much time. He cups my cheeks with both his hands, enjoying this as much as he can. But eventually we have to get apart after Alex's plain is called.
"I'll text you when I get there, okay?" He says and I nod, pecking his lips a couple of times more. "And we'll videochat all the time." He keeps saying. "And-"
"I love you." I interrupt him.
"Love you too." He whispers and the call for his plain repeats again. "I should go."
"Yeah." I say and he hugs me tightly before grabbing his luggage and walking away, but before that he makes sure to smile at me and wave goodbye.
I follow his figure with my eyes for as long as I can, until there's one point where I can't really see him anymore.
Shit, he's gone.
