'hyunjin, get up please.'

hyunjin groaned before opening his eyes to see seungmin biting his lip and looking outside frantically. 'wait, what is it? you look worried.'

'i just have to... pick up my niece and nephew at the police station a-and i don't exactly have a car-' hyunjin stood up before fishing out his keys from his pocket, 'say no more.'

seungmin unbuckled himself and got out, frantically running inside. 'seungmin!' hyunjin groaned before getting out and following. 'oh my gosh, nina, jihyun!' seungmin took the two toddlers into his arms. hyunjin opened the door. 'you're their uncle i suppose?' a man asked before seungmin turned and nodded. 'you were the only one of their family members we could contact.'

'what happened to them?' he turned back to the pair of toddlers who had glazed over eyes. the cop pulled seungmin aside, away from the children and hyunjin. 'their mother left them with their father years ago. he's been sexually abusing the girl and when the boy caught him, he hurt the boy and told him not to call the cops.' seungmin felt his blood boil at the thought of his own brother hurting his kids. 'holy shit.' was all he could muster out before tears flowed. the officer led him out of the empty room and into the center. seungmin immediately went to hyunjin and buried his face in his chest. 'woah, woah, what happened?' seungmin let out soft sobs as hyunjin rubbed his back. 'i-i'll tell you later..' he said after tearing his face away from the boy's chest.

'nina, jihyun, i-i'm so sorry i wasn't there for you when i knew something was off...' he crouched down, grabbing their small hands in his own. 'uncle minnie it's oki. we still love chu!' nina smiled before he pulled them into a hug. 'i love you guys too...'

its been weeks since seungmin took custody of his niece and nephew and the guilt had been eating him away.

kim.ssseungmin: hyunjin? are u awake?

hwanghhyunjin: MY SWEET BBY WHAT HAPPENED!? DID SOMEONE HURT U!? DO I NEED TO FITE A HOE!? BC I WONT HESITATE BITCH!

kim.ssseungmin: what? no
kim.ssseungmin: i just have been feeling guilty abt smt.

hwanghhyunjin: ARE YOU CHEATING ON ME BC ISTG

kim.ssseungmin: no i would never cheat on you jinnie. its just abt what happened to nina and jihyun. when i was invited to my brothers house i knew smt was off. nina and jihyun didnt talk to whole time but when their mom was there they would always come up and maul me. i just feel like i could have done smt to put an end to it all.

hwanghyunjin: i'll be over in 10 bby

seungmin put his phone on the charger before letting built up tears fall down his cheeks hugged his knees to his chest when a knock was heard at the door. no possible way jinnie's here already... if he was he wouldn't knock at this time, he would use the key. worry built up in his mind as he grabbed his phone to text hyunjin.

kim.ssseungmin: are u here bc someone knocked.

the knocking became a little harder and more aggressive.

hwanghhyunjin: bby i just parked.
