The New Ladybug (Chat Noir/Adrien X reader)

"(Y/n) time to get up dear." I hear mum say. Yawning, I sit up on the bed, mumbling a good morning to mum. "There's breakfast on the table, I have to go early, I got the job that i went for the interview yesterday for" I walk over to her and give her a big hug.

"Good job mum, and tell me all about your job later today okay?." I say tiredly and mum giggles, kissing me on the cheek before going downstairs. I close the door and go back up to my bed to see Tikki fast asleep on the bed. Aww. Gently, I nudge her and she wakes up.

"Good morning (y/n)" she says, yawning. "Good morning Tikki." I grab a random outfit from my closet and head to the bathroom to do my normal morning routine. Afterwards I go down to the kitchen to find some french toast on the counter, yum. Tikki was raiding the cupboard, looking for more cookies. Luckily mum had gone shopping yesterday and bought several packets of it. The rest of the morning went by quietly until we got out of the house. I had made sure to grab a few cookies just in case, and Tikki was not hiding in my bag.

On my way to school I come across the same poster from the other day, the one with the old Ladybug and Chat Noir, they both looked really familiar so I bought a poster, I made a mental note to investigate later.

"(Y/n)! Over here girl!" Alya yelled as I made my way towards her, Nino and Adrien. "Hey guys." I say, Nino replied with a "sup" and Adrien smiled at me. "Girl! Have you heard?" Alya says, she seemed really excited this morning. "Heard what?" I say, I was a bit confused. "There's a new Ladybug! I'm bummed about the fact I didn't get to film her yesterday but a girl from our school play got some footage! Apparently she was akumatized during a wedding scene." Ah, that explains the dress.

I smile, I can't reveal myself. "That's really cool Alya, can you show me the video later?" I ask, trying to sound as casual as I can. "Of course! I'm hoping to get some live action today, from what I heard she's really badass!" At this I blush a little, it's really nice to hear people talking about me in such a way. The Bell rang and we all started walking to our class, first period was History.

On the way to class, everyone's conversations were filled with the New Ladybug. It seemed everyone was excited to have a Ladybug back. Even Adrien seemed happier today. We all got to our seats.

"Settle down class, I know you're all excited about the new ladybug but I have an announcement to make. For the history lesson today we're gonna be visiting the museum to learn about Egypt." And with that, we all walked out of the class and started making our way towards the museum.

"Now class, you are free to have a look around, we will meet back by the entrance in 20 minutes." The teacher announced and everyone went different ways. Alya grabbed my hand and pulled me towards a papyrus scroll on the wall. "Look! There's ladybug right there!" She said, and she was right. On the scroll was a ladybug, even Tikki was there. "Wow Alya, how did you even find that so quickly? This scroll is full of small pictures and symbols, it's almost hurting my brain." Alya seemed to sadden a bit when I said this.

"A very close friend of mine showed me." She said, showing me a picture of a girl with dark blue pigtails and bluebell eyes. "That's Marinette, she moved away a couple of weeks ago, around the time ladybug disappeared." Interesting. But then I also felt bad. "I'm sorry if I made you sad Alya, I didn't know" I say, frowning. She smiled again, not a fake one, a genuine one. "Hey its cool, we still text and from what I heard she's having a lot of fun in China, so I'm happy for her." I smile and we both move along to one of the mummy tombs.

"Bow down to me, slave!" Yells a young girl with medium length black hair, she was holding a staff which was now pointed at one of the two boys in front of her. "Come on Cleo, you're not the Queen of Egypt, and it's really boring here so let's go." The other boy nods. "Is that anyway to speak to your Queen?" Cleo exclaims, eyes wide. "Cleo cut it out. This is getting out of hand and you're being too loud." Says the girl next to her.
