The New Ladybug (Chat Noir/Adrien X reader)

A Promise

"Miraculous Ladybug!" I say, as the ladybug magic restores everything and turns the akumatized villain back. "Pound it" we both say, fist pumping. That's when both our miraculouses beep. "We're gonna transform, bye bye kitty!" I say, turning to leave. "Ladybug! Wait!" He says, grabbing my wrist. I turn around and look up at him "Yeah?". "Can you meet me at the Eiffel tower in about an hour?" He asks. I nod and run off since we didn't have much time left to talk. I couldn't make it to my house so I turned in the corner of the street and transformed. "That was a close one (y/n)" Tikki says, immediately going for the cookies in my shoulder bag/purse. "I know, I wonder what Chat Noir wants though?"

And so, a while later I arrived at the Eiffel tower. It was about 6:30pm and the sun was setting. I was on the highest part of the tower, so I decided to sit on the edge and admire the view. A familiar black figure sat down next to me "Hey Kitty".
"Good evening m'lady." I turn around to face him. "What did you want to meet up about?" He scratches the back of his neck. "Well, with all the fighting and stuff going on we didn't really have time to talk. And I would love to get to know my partner better." I smile. "That's true."

We both sat there for the next few minutes, just admiring the sunset. The silence wasn't awkward, it was comfortable. "Beautiful isn't it?" I say. "Yeah.." that's when I catch him looking at me. His face turns red and looks away. I giggle, he's so adorable. "Chat Noir?" He turns and looks at me, face still slightly red. "Yes, M'Lady?"
"What was the ladybug before me like?"

This made him go quiet for a second, and I started to get anxious. After all, I don't know exactly how much she meant to him. "I-im sorry, you don't have to answer if you don't want to." He smiles, and I swear I've seen that smile somewhere before. "It's alright. Ladybug before you?" He turns away. "She was just as amazing as you are. Elegant, smart, powerful....beautiful..." I blush yet again, but I don't think he saw me. "She promised to keep all of Paris safe from Hawkmoth. And then she left." He grew quiet for a while after he said that. And that's when I heard soft sobbing.

Out of habit, I pull him into a hug. Stroking his hair, it was very soft and fluffy. "I'm sorry Chat Noir..I'm sure she left because she had no choice." He starts to hug me back, he was still crying. He must have really loved her. "I don't know if I'll ever be as good as her, Chat. But I can make you a promise." I pull away and wipe his tears, his eyes were shining in the sunset. "I promise to never leave you." I say, smiling softly. "I promise to keep Paris safe, and fight along you forever." I bring my hand up, pink out "Pinky promise." He starts to smile. "Thanks Ladybug, I appreciate it."

"You should smile way more, Chat Noir." I say, standing up. "It makes you look much cuter." I wink. And with that, I jump off, swinging from building to building with my yo-yo until I reach my house. "Spots off." I say, once I'm inside. I jump onto my bed, face first, and let myself sink into the matress.

Adrien's P.O.V.

I was still sitting on top of the Eiffel Tower, smiling like an idiot. It was nice to have Ladybug back, original or not. And even if we only talked for a few minutes, it was worth it.  And so I return home, Ladybug still in my head, her words, her promise, her beautiful smile. "Claws in." I say, climbing in through the window. Plagg was yapping about not having enough Camembert. With a long sigh I  let myself fall onto my bed.

I can't wait to fight alongside her again.
