I was startled awake by a loud crash, and the sound of glass falling. I looked towards the sound, hardly able to see in the middle of the night, and saw a figure in black. I gasped, and the figure looked in my direction. I assumed it was a man, built by the looks of his size in the moonlight. He started in my direction,  and I began to panic. I pressed on my arm, and yelped in pain, tensing still healing muscles. The man grabbed my arm, pressing me into the couch, forcing me unable to move. I started to cry as I saw lust peak his head around the corner, smiling like a pedophile as this stranger attempted to take me. The man started to tear at my clothes, shredding them off of me. I fought back as much as I could, but he was too strong.  As he held Me down with one hand on my stomach, his other hand undoing his pants, I knew I was screwed I couldn't stop it. I began to cry louder

“shut up, bitch!” he slapped me, and got into position to penetrate me. I heard a loud crack, and the hand holding me was gone.  I looked back, shaking, and saw Wrath standing over him, him clutching his head and groaning. She began to kick his head, over and over, until her boots, the floor, and his face were covered in blood, and he had stopped making any noise. She had killed him. i began covering myself up so she didn't see the more private bits of me.

“tha-thank you, Wrath…” I said, my voice shaking.

“there is something about you that I can't shake.  Some need to make sure you're ok. And I hate it. Reminds me of when I used to be human,  god those days sucked ass,” she snorted, and stormed off. I grabbed my blanket and covered myself back up.  As I started to head to my room, I passed by lust. He was leaning against the door, just smirking. I walked over and slapped him, hard.  He just kept smirking, and held his hand over his cheek. I went to my room, and tried to sleep, despite what I had just been through.

I woke up,  tired as hell, unable to sleep for most of the night. As I walked downstairs, I smelled something that smelled amazing. I followed the smell into the kitchen, and saw gluttony cooking pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs; this was a feast for kings. Everyone was sitting around the large table, barely fitting them all. They lived like a family.

“well, look who's awake! Get some sleep?” Lust asked. I just walked past him, pissed off.

“you're beginning to look like me, abi,” wrath said.

“well, considering that he was just…. Just watching as that man...as that…” I began to cry again.

Gluttony began handing food out, acting like nothing had happened. As everyone began to eat, I just sat down, not touching my food. I just looked at it, not hungry despite fasting for days.

“you really should eat something,” Gluttony’s rumbling voice said.

“I'm not hungry. Besides, I doubt you actually care about me, and you just want me to eat because that's what you do,”

Gluttony began laughing, his voice shaking the room. His large belly bounced up and down.

”yes that is me,” he laughed “but you should eat, I don't know when you last ate.”

I didn't know either. I only ate to survive, not because I wanted to.

Everyone finished their food, and pride did the dishes, claiming he could make them cleaner than ever before. Of course, he did, because he couldn't have it any other way. I got back to unpacking the rest of my boxes, finishing moving in. It would be weird living with seven… demons. But i still have no idea how they got into this house. i wasn't entirely certain as to whether i should ask them, but eventually i might. the window was still smashed from last night, so i got set on cleaning that up after i finished packing. after the glass was cleaned up, i used saran wrap and duct tape to fill the hole so there wasn't a draft. Pride, of course, came in and said it wasn't good enough, and redid it.

“you know i'm perfectly capable of doing it myself right. i'm just saying,”

“except i can do better, so just let me fix it. see, that corner isn’t even square with the damn corner!” Pride fixed the perfectly fine corner so it was “perfect”, and sat on the couch. “so what are you doing out here anyway?”

“ it's a long story. i’d rather not…”

“ well, i got to this point in my sinful life by having too much pride, imagine that. i always had the best vegetables, best cattle, best pigs. i had the  best farm in general. i had to. i was the best. then one day, this guy came to town. massive food source, super nice, handed everything out like candy. so, naturally, they all switched to his cheaper merchandise. and what to do with competition? get them out of the race. i tried sabotaging his crops, poisoning the meat from his cattle. nothing work. so finally, i just came up to him, and i stabbed him,” he grinned at the memory. “ the town decided to have me hung for murder in the first degree. they all knew i was trying to get him out, so i didn't bother denying it. besides. i was proud of my solution. wish i had figured it out sooner. one of the first sins based on a single attribute. so, they called me called me lucifer at the gates of hell. i became one of the first demons to form, instead of becoming a soul lost to hell. they gave me abilities, and sent me back to earth. so i became of one the main seven sins. all because I wanted to sell some food. i don’t really care anymore about them, but i'm proud of the fact that i did it.” he sighed. “ if you don't want to talk about it i don't really care. but i have a feeling that we’ll be together for some time,” he got up and winked.”ciao,”

as he left the room I wondered why he had told me all of that. i doubt it honestly mattered to him, probably just wanted to show off. that was his kind of deal, so i wasn't surprised. i decided to head up to my room to change, and envy walked in like the room was hers.

“abigail, right?” she asked.

“yeah…,” why was she asking.

“i saw your outfits earlier, and you need a closet redo. i wont have that ugly of clothing in this house. how are you supposed to make anyone jealous by looking homeless?”

honestly, that part hurt. it wasn't like i wanted to look terrible, i just didn't want to go out when i had no idea what i was looking for. i didn't know what would be cute on me or anything.

“i don't exactly know how…’’ i muttered.

“know how to what?” she rolled her eyes, and put her hands on her hips. honestly, she looked good. needless to say, i was a little jealous of her. she made the green she wore look amazing: black jeans, green short sleeve top, with a black croptop jacket. her raven black hair was beautiful and perfect, as was her makeup.

“i don't know how to shop for clothes that look good on me or anything like that. my mom never showed me. or my dad…” of course my dad never wouldve. he never wanted anything to fo with me. it was always video games, alcohol, or a mix. my mom was always busy trying to keep the house, and pay the bills. she never had time, and had to spend the money on more important things. “whatever. still, i wont have this,” she gestured to my closet “ in here. we are getting you new clothes, and burning these in hell,” she walked out before i could argue with her.

i sat there and sighed. i didn't have any money to just go on a shopping spree. i had no idea how i would do that. i had a hard enough time getting money, and this wouldn't help. but deep down, i agreed with her. maybe if i looked better, i would be happier.
