Luce had been constantly poking me to keep a straight face since last half hour.
But I kept my frown on.
"They might be stuck somewhere. You know the traffic in LA." she tried her best but I was pissed.
"I still don't understand why I am here!" I shouted at Luce who sat besides me on the hotel table, continuously checking herself in her pocket mirror.
She didn't respond and I stared at the two empty chairs across the table.
"You really need a blind date for refreshment. It's been so long since I've known you and you have never been on any dates." she said as she applied some foundation on her already-pretty face.
I sighed.
"I said I am not interested in such things."
Luce ignored me again.
After a pause, she finally spoke.
"It'll be fine."
What in the world will be fine? I didn't know who my blind date was and that made me weak and my stomach tighten more and more.
It was nervousness.
Luce was right, it had been a long time since I dated last. And my ex wasn't really easy to get over.
In fact, after so many days I can finally say I don't love him anymore. Or I still doubt.
"There they come." Luce squeezed my arm and squealed.
I looked up to see something that churned my stomach over and made my legs wobbly.
My heartbeats were running their races and my hands were shaking.
"Luc--" I managed to say but she already got up to go hug Jackson.
So Jackson Wang was her date.
But for now, the only guy I looked at was the one besides Jackson. Denim Jacket over white T-shirt and the same blue mullets with the exactly same ear piercings.
The same smile he gave to Luce that I missed so much.
But, I wanted to run. Run before he notices me. Because I couldn't face him at all. Not in a million years.
I tried to get up to run but my legs didn't cooperate. They were all wobbly from the shock I received. I turned around my face and took a step but was pulled back by a strong arm.
Luce.
"So Jaebum she is your blind date. My bestfriend. Rose Tuan" I didn't look at him.
I knew he was as shocked as I was.
And I didn't dare look at him.
I stared at Luce trying to send her messages but that ass would never understand.
"It'll be fine." she whispered which was the biggest lie she has ever told me.
She made me sit back and sat besides me.
I looked at Jackson who I knew was equally shocked as me and Jaebum.
But then, he had a calm expression and he smiled at me. I smiled back.
"Rose was so eager to meet y'all." Luce broke in
What?
I was not even close to eager.
"I'm glad." Jackson laughed. "Finally someone is eager to meet us. Otherwise people don't give a F."
I missed Jackson. I missed his aura. His laugh. And his friendship.
Oh my God! I had left so much behind.
"So Rose isn't Jaebum hot?" I wished Luce could at least whisper that question to me, but No, the bitch has to scream.
I just nodded saying yes. But trust me I avoided my eye contact with Jaebum who was so silent.
Until.
"But she hasn't even looked at me." Jaebum said and I looked up to meet his gorgeous eyes.
I missed his soft voice around me and those eyes. The eyes that made me feel so much better.
I had missed him so much.
