As Mitch woke up, he gazed upon soft, ivory skin. At first he was confused. Where in the hell did he end up? But after a few seconds, the events from yesterday flooded his mind and he realized he was entangled with Jerome. It was getting quite warm, even without the comforter, which had flung off them sometime in the night. It didn't help that he was getting flustered from how close they had gotten.

He tried to decipher where his limbs were. One arm, he was sure, was weighted down by Jerome's head, and the other was tossed over his shoulder. He somehow ended up straddling one of Jerome's legs, too, and he wondered why for two seconds before abandoning the cause. With careful movements, he slid one of his legs from its trap. The other was now being sandwiched, and couldn't be moved unless he manually pushed off  Jerome's right leg. He guessed that his right appendages could do him good for now.

The room was silent, the early morning sun rays beaming over them and lighting their meshed forms. As he pulled his head back, he could see Jerome using his arm as a pillow, his cheek smushed against his tan skin. He looked adorable, in Mitch's opinion, and he would've gladly watched him sleep for hours-- At least, til his eyes finally opened.

A light yawn escaped his mouth, and brown orbs flickered over to Mitch's own. "Morning, Biggums."

"Morning yourself." Mitch replied, smiling a little. "Sleep well with my arm as your pillow?"

Jerome looked confused, before he glanced the limb he had his head laid on and blushed. "Woops, sorry dood." He lifted his cranium as Mitch pulled his arm close to his chest, letting his head fall to the pillow with a sigh.

"S'fine." Mitch responded lightly. "I would also like my leg back."

Jerome let the appendage free, and the coffee haired boy was glad he regained his movement again. He quickly jerked to a sitting position while Jerome watched with a dazed gaze.

"Y'know, for being asleep for six months, you would think I'd be sick of sleeping...I actually wish I could go back to sleep right now."

The Benja chuckled, running a hand through his short hair. "Same here bud. How about some food? Chef Mitch at your command!"

Jerome propped himself up with an elbow, eyebrow furrowed. "Hmm...I'm feeling up for some bacon. Maybe some eggs."

The man nodded and jumped up, walking out the door and leaving Jerome to his thoughts.

Why had he latched onto Mitch during the night? Maybe because it was cold; he reached and pulled the comforter over him at this thought. He didn't know how it had gotten flung off them, either. Weird.

But he derailed his thoughts, getting tired from the warmth radiating from the blanket. His mind wanted to sleep again, and while he would usually let it, breakfast was to be served soon. He got himself up, pulling up his pajama bottoms and shuffling to the kitchen.

There was his chef, happily frying bacon and eggs as he set up the table. Jerome missed his happy attitude towards everything. Awesome sauce Mitch. Cute Mitch...

Cute? Men aren't cute. Well, some aren't...Mitch definitely. He was in the category of people-he-treasured-and-would-rather-not-screw-up-with. He was pretty sure that a crush, even a small one, would ruin that a lot. Still, the thought of hugging Mitch didn't sound like a bad idea...

The Benja talking snapped him out of daydreams.

"Earth to Jerome? Ya okay dood?" Bright caramels looked into dark browns with a hint of amusement. Jerome returned the look in kind.

"Yeah, just kinda...Spaced out." His heart thudded in relief as Mitch returned to his cooking. He sat down in a nearby chair, watching him as if he was the most interesting thing in the world.

Soon, the food was ready, and Mitch made their plates and handed Jerome his. "Here ya go, biggums."

"Thanks dood." He placed the dish on the table and went to the drawer to grab a fork for himself and Mitch, returning afterwards.

"Mmm, bacon..." Jerome swooned, having missed the salty taste on his tongue. The benja giggled at his response as he chewed his eggs.

"Glad you like it."

The room was filled with the scraping of plates and breathing for a while. Both enjoyed the silence, looking out the window at the sun beaming on the stone floor. Chirping from far away birds also came from said opening.

"What shall we do today?" Jerome asks, finishing his food.

Mitch hummed for a second, then answered, "Want to go hunting I guess? We're running low on grub; I used the last of our rations on breakfast today."

Jerome grinned. "Sounds like a plan, buddy. Uh, lemme go get dressed..." the thought of his clothes not fitting anymore drifted into his mind, and he groaned.

"Hey, you can use mine til we head to the shop, I got plenty of Iron and Gold to pay for some later." Mitch scooped up his plate and Jerome's, depositing them in the sink.

"Hokeyp."

;~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~;

Fully dressed now, the two wandered out into the world with armor and weapons. Mitch idly toyed with the string on his bow as they walked.

Jerome would usually smell for the scent of cows or whatever now, but he didn't have the heightened sense of smell anymore. They now had to rely on tracks and traps to help them capture their food.

Jerome did just that. He went for the most basic and less time consuming one: a pit covered in sticks and leaves. He dug the hole with his bare hands as Mitch crafted shears and cut down some leaves and branches.

"How much do you think we need, dood?"

Jerome started digging out of his hole, patching it up as he went. "Maybe five? We don't want too many, since we might forget about one."

Soon they had five decently spaced traps in the ground, covered in leaves.

"Great, now we wait."

CRASH!

Both of their heads flicked over to the side as the sound hit their ears, running towards one of the holes. The leaves were gone.

"Caught one already! Woot!" Jerome crawled on his belly to look down, and gasped.

Inside, was a man.
