A light breeze whistles through the open window. Claire lays with her back against the mattress, the duvet thrown over her body.

A few days have passed since she left Harry on his balcony, and she still hasn't heard a word from him. It's not that she was expecting him to come knocking at her door—he did seem quite upset when she had last seen him—but the company would be nice.

She went up to his room three or four times, wanting to make sure he was ok, or to see if he wanted some company, but every time her knuckles were inches away from the door, there was always something that stopped her. Claire doesn't want to seem desperate, or intrude on his personal issues, she understands the type of pain he's feeling. She may need a friend, but she just couldn't bring herself to tap her knuckles against the wood.

Claire stares up at the ceiling, until the abrupt sound of someone knocking forces her upright in the bed. Standing, she makes her way over to the door, looking through the peep hole. A smile forms on her face when she sees who's standing on the other side.

She greets Harry with a warm smile. "Hello, stranger."

"Hey." His lips lift around the edges. "Can I come in?"

"Of course."

Harry makes his way inside, shoving his hands into the front pockets of his jeans.

"How are you?" Claire shuts the door.

"I'm okay." The vague answer sparks Claire's curiosity. "Been dealing with a lot of shit" he brings his right hand up to rub the back of his neck.

Making her way back over to the middle of the room, Claire sits on the edge of the bed. "Do you want to talk about it?"

She knows opening up to someone you barely know is hard, but she's hoping to help him in some way.. A friend would be nice, and she's certain Harry can use one too.

"It's alright." He shrugs. "It's a long story, I won't bore you with all the details."

Harry sits down next to her as she shoots him a comforting smile. "I don't mind." He looks utterly surprised. "Talking about it might help ease some of the pain."

"It's gonna take a lot more than talking to fix my heart, love." A soft chuckle rattles through his chest, pain radiating in his tone.

"There's no harm in trying."

"You're quite the persistent little thing, aren't you?" Harry smiles.

"I told you why I was here, so you can't blame me for being curious about why you're here too."

"Don't worry, I will tell you. Just not right now." A smirk forms on his lips as he sees the excitement bubbling in her eyes.

"Hey! that's not fair." Her childish tone makes Harry laugh. "If you aren't here to talk, then what did you come here for?"

"I want to show you something."

"Oh, do you now?" Claire raises an eyebrow.

"I do..If you'd put on some shoes and follow me, that would be great."

Annoyed with the lack of details Harry's provided, Claire pulls her eyebrows together. "You're not gonna tell me what it is?"

"Nope." A childish grin forms on his lips. "You're just going to have to trust me."

Shaking her head, Claire laughs. "Such a fucking tease."

"Hey now, no need to cuss. Have patience Claire. You'll find out soon enough."

Rolling her eyes, she stands from the bed and picks up her black high top converse from the floor.

"Should I change?" Claire asks Harry, as she looks down at her attire. A light pink oversized t-shirt hangs loosely from her body and black sweatpants clad her legs.
